1. couldnt agree more! Total groove playing like no one else
 2. try and raise the pickup - that makes a HUGE difference to output, some pickups need to be quite close to the strings for best tone, my nordstand P5 wants to be real close before it sound amazing and dropping it just a mm or 2 makes it a lot quieter and sounds crapper
 3. Thats a pain, I miss-read your post
I'm stripping down , treating for woodworm then soaking for a few days in cellulose wood hardener.
Thought you were stripping down and treating yourself for woodworm and soaking in wood hardener
 4. If the truss rod buzzes about the 12th it might not be truss rod, normally only need to tighten truss rod if it's the higher frets (above 12th) that buzz. (and slacken truss rod if its the low frets) Can you post a photo of the bow in the neck?
 5.
It is
How much would it be to post?

 7.
This video must go down as the most posted video on any forum there is.
Oooh... I should have guessed that it would have been here before, sorry. Just made me laugh after resent 'problems' with drummers in our band

 9.
Are you staying natural? For some reason I see a hi-gloss trans finish on it... *burbles insanely*
Just a high gloss clear i think.... I've got a few other little projects to finish before continuing with this, but I really wanna crack on with this
 10.
My Roscoe : http://soundcloud.co...o/smooth-roscoe
Thats amazing
 11.
That body is amazing! I would be worried that a figured maple board may be too much bling, just my opinion though and happy to be proven wrong!
I think you might be right, the birds eye I've got is not too figured but maybe just plain maple would be better
 12. Will now consider trade for compressor pedal
 13.
Really nice, I'd keep the scratch plate looks better to me. By the way where did you get the Scratch plate? I'm after one very similar to yours.
I got it 2nd hand from here, sorry i dont know where it came from originally Dave
 14.
That's going to look stunning! What fingerboard are you going to put on it?
Thanks - I was thinking about birdseye maple neck and fretboard with ebony blocks and binding. Possibly a black or black pearloid scratchplate instead of the tort one. TBH not really sure..... Ta Dave
 15. Made a start on a P body, gonna be put on hold for a while but I love this wood so much I though I should share some pix with you. It's only roughed out at the moment hence the rough curves. It's gonna be a 5 string but i only had a 4 string pup kicking about for the pix. 16.
Haven't heard any of those. Must be too old
After Midnight - JJ Cale - You must be too young, 1970 ish, the original version
 17.
Now, THIS I'd like to see...
you will ! I have all the wood and the idea, just not the time right now, it's currently 3rd in line to be made....but might get bumped up the list if the drummers dont work out.
 18. does that mean you hate system of a down as much as i do?
 19. mmm an acoustic trio is sounding good right now. I've had a drummer apply via partysounds - he lives 40 miles away and doesnt have any transport....... and another who asked my age and got back to me and said i was too young! no one has told me that for MANY years ha ha Actually an acoustic trio would give me an excuse to make myself a rob allen style bass that I've been longing for
 20.
What exactly is the mod?
Sorry I didnt see you post this question. The standard pedal has an iritating hike in volume when on and no way of adjusting, so this has a volume pot added to the output. It comes as standard with a non-standard power supply which is a pain if you use it with other pedals, also the standard one is not true bypass meaning it will to some extent colour the sound even when its not on. These mods make a great sounding pedal much better for gigging. I've owned both and couldn't gig with the standard one due to the volume increase. Hope that helps Dave PS - Just to be clear, it doesnt come with a power supply.
 21. Thanks - I'll give them a go, its never a nice replacing anyone
 22. Sorry if this is in the wrong section????????? I know of partysounds and joinmyband but are there any other good musician wanted websites that are worth looking at to find a drummer Thanks Dave
 23. Hi Looking for a new drummer for our pub/club covers band as ours is moving on in a couple of months. Well established and a good quality band playing weekends only, we play pretty much standard pub covers but some interesting twists and a few unexpected ones thrown in. Let me know if you would like more details Thanks Dave
