Fantastic 4 string fretless bass, hand made in Germany. Orignially fretted, recently converted to a fretless by a professional luthier. The bass has been perfectly set up with 45-100 D'Addario chrome flats. Sounds fantastic with jumbo pickup. The bass produces a powerful clear fretless tone, perfect for Tony Levin style lines. Condition is superb, only a couple of barely noticeable dings, which do not detract from the natural wood grain and fantastic colour. A new one of these will set you back £ 1000 plus. Comes with a bag( basic thin nylon). Collection preferred but I can send it buyer pays and arranges. Alternatively trade for a Music Man bass (USA) Only selling/trading because I wont use it enough to do it justice! !! The key thing would be a programmeable board of assigned effects pedals, rather than turning multiple pedals on and off in sequences...

I forgot to mention, also as easy to use as possible !

You may notice that I have got a GT6B thread open atm. In short, I cant get on with it! Any sounds I have made, I havent been completely happy with and most importantly I cant seem to fulfil my number 1 requirement which is to program each pedal to contain multiple effect so I can switch direcct and avoid switching pedals on and off again before reselecting. As as example 1. Chorus and delay. 2. Distortion 3. Clean 4. Octave distorion...... I am open to suggestions on the best way to achieve this. I would rather avoid tap dance on single multi pedals. Unless there is a COMPROMISE! Importantly good enough sound for live performance.

Thanks or the link! Can anyone give me a very succinct explanation of how to achieve what im after? The instruction manual is baffling...

Dear all, I have just bought a gt-6b and am confused by it! Does anyone know if there is a memory assigning mode. What id like to do is attach multiple effects to each pedal. Ie 1. Octave and distorion 2. Delay and chous 3. Clean 4. Something else. Enabling me to switch between effect without turning pedals off before turning another on. Basically I want to avoid tap dancing on the pedals! Anyone?!

Hi, I have just received a new BF Midget cab. At volume there seems to be a buzzing sound/ vibration. Has anyone else found this? Is this characteristic of the Midget model?!

I'd say that all along the watch tower is made 100x better with some decent soloing over the top, the U2 version doesnt really have anything about it and compared with Hendrix version it just sounds manotanous and repetitive! in some contexts simple just fits, other times its just bland..
-
IMO - The bottom line - no pun intended, is that bass lines fundamentally need to fit in wit the over all sound of the piece of music. If you take 'With or without you' as an example, you couldn't play something more complex or you would use the whole feel of the piece. The fact that Clayton is listening to and fitting in with the song as a whole probably makes him a far better player than many that would play over complicated lines and stomp all over everything else... After all, this is pop music! should be noted that overplaying can sometimes just be annoying when its not in contect, pretty rare that properly technical playing works in mainstream pop, flea is probably one of the successful ones. Importantly bass in 'pop' is about what fits with the piece as a whole, flea fits with RHCP and Clayon wits with U2.
