That other large banking institution- The Bank of Mum & Dad.

Agree, let’s get back to the subject of the dangerous orange guy.
-
Tell that to the people whose pensions were maturing while he was in charge making stupid comments.

That Carney guy was a nightmare when he was head of the Bank of England, he was always talking things down, affecting the markets in a really negative way.

I think it’s because it is basically a one sided debate, a very unique situation for this Off Topic section of this website, the fact is, that most probably 100% of us, totally disagree with what the dangerous buffoon across the water is doing to the world.

I actually thought this was a Bob Dylan tribute act.
-
Looking through the list of acts appearing, there is not one that would entice me to travel all the way to the South West to see them play, a few on there I would have paid to see possibly ten years ago, but now they are well past their best and just going through the motions.

Maybe comrade Trump on his next regular phone call to his pal Putin should ask why a hotel was bombed in Ukraine last night, resulting in the deaths of four innocent people. ☹️

A massive turnout for Nicks funeral yesterday, Peterborough Cathedral was full, it showed how respected Nick was, a great fun loving guy sadly missed.

One of my all time favourite bands, saw them live at the first Knebworth Festival in 1974, I’m very envious of you playing wonderful songs from a vast music catalogue. 👍 -
Fire Aid. A live Aid concert for our time?

Thoroughly enjoyed 90% of that special concert, epic sound mix with the bass really sounding great, Pink was the standout vocalist for me, that lady can really sing, Flee didn’t have to spend much on his stage outfit 😀 The quality of musicianship was outstanding and it made me feel quite emotional at times, it’s something that hits me as I get older. -
2 x 40mg tablets per day keeps mine under control but not completely like yourself, I stopped taking them for a few days a while back thinking they were not doing much good, that soon proved me wrong. Unfortunately ET is progressive and will get worse as the years pass, it will come to a point where playing my bass will be too difficult. ☹️

Just heard this track on BBC Northampton, John Leech Soul Show. Wilton Felder featuring Bobby Womack - Inherit The Wind. So laid back, cool, what a smooth groove. -
Very saddened to hear this news about Nick, I knew him reasonably well, he was definitely one of the good guys and excellent bass player, Nick introduced me to BASSCHAT and MarkBass. RIP.

Back from seeing Limehouse Lizzy tonight, the whole band was really on form, superb performance to a full house of folks in the older age group who showed a lot of appreciation towards the band, it’s pleasing to know this band carry on the legacy of Thin Lizzy at the highest of levels. 👍👍👍

I have messaged Genesis Connected the band he is a member of to see if any of them have had any contact with him over the last 24 hours, they have a gig this Friday in Wales.
-
All the guys got home safely from the gig on Saturday night in the heavy snow, the guitarist a driving instructor, mentioned he hit a curb because the edge of the road was so covered in snow.
-
First gig of the year last night, it was a late one where we stopped playing at 12.40, new venue to us and thought it might be quiet just after Christmas, it turns out it was very busy and a lot of folk up dancing in our third set. Started loading out about 1am and realised it was snowing heavily, the cars totally covered in snow, the journey home up the A1 was horrendous, hardly any traffic so the snow had covered the dual carriageway so bad it was difficult to navigate what lane you were in, plus the snow coming down at the windscreen always makes your eyes feel funny.
-
New one for the set to be learnt over the Christmas break, Ain’t Talking Bout Love - Van Halen.
-
Never seen Peter or his band using them 😀
