  1. Voyager - American Journey Tribute band. These guys are superb musically and their vocalist looks and sounds just like Steve Perry.
  2. Just ordered the Stinger kit for a right handed bass, sorry but I don’t understand the bit about series/parallel switch you have mentioned.
  3. Just ordered the Retrovibe Stinger kit, hopefully a good £74 well spent to make my Sub sound a bit more like my original Stingray, love the walnut satin look and playability of the Sub, just not happy with the sound it produces, too distorted for me.
  4. Thanks for that, I will definitely be going for this mod.
  5. Anything by the great Roger Dean.
  6. For those of us old enough to remember record shops, every thing was alphabetical and categorised, that’s how you located your artist or band you were looking for. I’m pretty sure from memory, Deep Purple we’re in the Progressive Rock sections, this is not to be confused as Prog as we now know it.
  7. Take up guitar. 😀😀😀
  8. Really enjoying the Rudeboy programme on at the moment, some great tunes taking me back to my teens at the local youth club. We had Jamaican neighbours at my parents brand new bungalow when I started senior school, Joe and Anna and their six children, lovely people, they actually got my mum into reggae, she had a lot of singles on the Trojan label in our radiogram cabinet.
  9. Hell Ain’t A Bad Place To Be - AC/DC Not particularly hard, but a great rocking song. We are supposed to be doing it at our band rehearsal tonight, the singer hasn’t even looked at it, he’s had two full weeks to sort it out, very frustrating. 😤
  10. She has been spotted on the Show Us Your Practice Rig thread today, so she hasn’t been kidnapped. 🤔
  11. Check out, if you hadn’t already heard of them - Badger PFM
  12. Paul Rogers is regarded as one of the best Blues/Rock vocalists, considering his age, he still sings the Free and Bad Co stuff in the original keys when performing live, probably sounding better than ever. Most of the rock vocalists his age now have shagged voices and can hardly perform or need to change the song keys to suit their fading vocals. Have to totally disagree on your comments, hey, but each to their own.
  13. It’s the insurance difficulty thats killing most of the festivals.
  14. Seals and Crofts wrote and performed the original, I always thought it was an Isley Brothers original, the Isleys is definitely my favourite, but I do like the original, very CSNY.
  15. Two songs in our current set. Rosalie - Thin Lizzy Turn the Page - Metallica Both originally written and performed by Bob Seger.
  16. He is one of my bass heroes, fantastic player, lots of space. I played in a Free tribute band for a few years, one of the highlights of my bass playing career. I purchased an EB3 especially for this band, pretty much hated playing the thing, neck dive and awful to play compared to my MM Stingray.
  17. Same as the other thread for me. Anything by Level 42. I can’t play slap to save my ars*
  18. This is a metaphor, they are often used in song writing. Another couple of examples that are used in the English language. I would give my right arm for that. I would rather stick red hot pokers in my eyes.
