  2. Sort of agree with your wife. If it ain’t going to get used, sell it.
  3. Had our first one last Wednesday, great to play at gigging volume, cracked out the first set, only revisited two songs due to drummer missing a couple of fills. Just getting ready for the second rehearsal tonight, looking to crack all the way through the second set plus one brand new song.
  4. Currently watching the Bob Dylan 30th anniversary celebration concert, loads of artists doing Dylan songs.
  5. Walk away, if the vocalist can’t hold a note, the whole band is wasting their time.
  6. Followed by Santana and then Steve Miller Band, a great night tonight on Sky Arts. 👍
  7. Tomorrow (Sunday) Sky Arts 9pm Doobie Brothers live from the Beacon Theatre.
  8. No colour for me - clear.
  9. Pubs opening indoors on May 17th will still be restricted to social distancing, this means they have a reduced capacity, can’t see many jumping at the chance of putting live bands on, this may change with the next step in June hopefully.
  10. Thanks, I’ll check them out.
  11. Just out of interest I moved from Trace Elliot rigs to Markbass several years ago, the TE stuff was just too heavy and I suffered a hernia due to lumping it about. Is Markbass still the lightest gear out there or is there now other stuff that is lighter on a like for like basis?
  12. Buy that and receive a free membership.
  13. Tanya O’Callaghan.
  14. Mark Knopfler tone on the Les Paul is superb, he’s usually more associated with his clean Strat sound. I have been having a go at learning the bass line on Californication today, the hardest bit is during the guitar solo, agree with a few others regarding Frusciante, his lead playing and tone are pretty appalling, it sounds like someone just learning to play guitar, especially with inaccurate note bends.
  15. Unless you are Liam Gallagher.
  16. Best of, too many different genres to pick just one. Heres a couple I would suggest - Paul Kossoff Stevie Ray Vaughan
  17. Very nice, personally don’t like the Metalflake finish ones, far to OTT for me, but the others, yes please.

Also ensure the singer takes a cash/credit with them, remember the rest of the band have probably invested quite heavily in their own gear already. 🤔
