  1. I’m a regular listener of Planet Rock and I’m surprised they are advertising their Rockstock weekender multiple band event for early December this year, it’s based at a holiday park in Wales. All the advanced tickets with accommodation are all sold out, I do admire the optimism that this will go ahead.
  2. Had my MM Stingray over 25 years and my MarkBass rig for over 12 years, totally happy 😃
  3. Must be hard swimming with all your gear 😀
  4. If you live and gig in Leicester, you have no chance for the foreseeable.
  5. In the early days he got me into the Mahavisnu Orchestra.
  6. Nick Gomm the lead singer/guitarist in a band I was in a few years ago was John Peels main studio engineer/producer and is credited for the sound/mixing on a lot of the sessions. Nick is now in his seventies and is such a modest guy, he has obviously worked with lots of well known artists/bands, but does not brag about it at all, a lovely bloke who had a great career with BBC radio.
  7. Sabre Dance from Love Sculpture (Dave Edmunds on guitar) from I think 1967, this was heavy rock at the time and was a hit.
  8. I thought some of our gigs booked for October/November may have been OK, I really cannot see them happening now, 2020 is going to be a complete write off, pubs/venues will not survive even with the new measures announced yesterday. I’m beginning to believe my live playing days are over, I really hope I am wrong.
  9. Definitely right there, Covid cases still on the rise, some Southern states are showing very large increases.
  10. Really great stuff, very tight band and the vocalist has a superb voice (balsy).
  11. I personally have zero interest in a collection of basses. I have one bass a MM Stingray absolutely love it, had it and gigged it for many years, no way would I part with it or replace it.
  12. Nazareth on Guitar Heroes. Some nice tasty bass playing.
  13. Our guitarist emailed this morning saying things are improving, looks like pubs will be opening in July and shall we have a rehearsal next Wednesday. We think he is living in a parallel universe to the other three of us in the band, the rest of us have replied with a blunt refusal and rehearsing will not be happening for some time yet.
  14. Yeh, and the other excellent guitarist on the video is Warren Haynes, well known as the frontman of Government Mule, another cracking Southern Rock band.
  15. Hopefully sometime in 2021, we have lots of gigs booked for the rest of this year, doubtful if any will actually go ahead.
  16. The whole live music scene is currently in a coma.
  17. Do they have a mosh pit at the front, so all the cars can crash into each other.
