  1. We have a band in our area dedicated to playing just prog covers, the band is made up from the cream of the crop musicians in the area, they only do a few gigs a year and they are always rammed with punters and a lot of local musicians seeing how it’s done, the musicians in the band play in mostly party/wedding bands on a regular basis.
  2. I have fitted the Stinger kit to my MM Sub, love the tone and now my main gigging bass👍
  3. Poor guy on bass, we need to set up a crowdfunding to purchase him some shoes. 😀
  4. I’m almost certain that all the Lizzy songs have the instruments tuned down a half step to Eb.
  5. A couple of tales from me, I think I might have mentioned one in another thread. We were forming a band in the mid eighties playing rock covers and auditioning for a drummer, a teenager came along with his dad, great little drummer, but we rejected him only because of the age difference, he was about fifteen years younger than the rest of us, his name was Mark Heaney. Mark went on to play with The Seahorses, The Shining and Gang of Four, he is a world renowned session drummer who has toured and recorded with many big named artists/bands. I played in a Free tribute band around 2008 and our original drummer quit due to a clash of commitments with his function band, our guitarist was the head guitar tutor for schools in Lincolnshire and had done several seminars with a well known drummer, this guy then became our new drummer in the Free tribute, his name was Jeff Rich ex Status Quo, Jeff was a real down to earth bloke and it was a great experience to share the stage with him on many gigs.
  6. What’s a changing room.
  7. He is 51 and still not grown up yet, still acts like a mouthy teenager.
  8. Peter Frampton was in two well established bands prior to his solo work, The Herd and Humble Pie. His Comes Alive album has achieved 17 million worldwide sales, definitely worthy of a place in the hall of fame.
  9. That’s the road between Leicester and Loughborough.
  10. Please do tell. Who we’re the band that made TOTP with the top ten single ?
  11. Surely if the guy didn’t transport the banner and lights, the band would be missing important visual impact, if he carries the most stuff, then he will be the longest one setting up and breaking it down, I think it’s pretty good of him to lug about all that extra band stuff as well as a full drum kit.
  12. Question, I’ll assume the banner is for the band. Are his array of lights just aimed at his drum kit and him, or are they stage lights for the whole of the band ?
  13. Some serious money changing hands here, his four nominated charities will do well from 25% of the proceeds. Christies have announced they will also donate £50k to each of the four charities.
