  1. At my age, I struggle to stay awake through any film I watch.πŸ˜€
  2. It was previously owned by Seymour Duncan, he sold it to Phil Taylor. Corrected.
  3. Our vocalist/frontman. In a band many years ago at a gig in Downham Market, got lucky with one of the local ladies.
  4. Lots of folks on here are placing Dr Feelgood as punk, they were R&B, as were 9 Below Zero and the Blues Band. British R&B, nothing to do with Punk.
  5. I thought Foxton, The Jam were more retro Mod than Punk.
  6. Looking at this from an entirely bass playing point of view, the Pistols are obviously being mentioned a lot as well as in a really negative light, Led Zeppelin. In terms of contribution to playing ability and quality bass lines it’s a really hard to separate Sid Vicious/ Glen Matlock or John Paul Jones. 😜 Just thought I would drop this one in the liven things up πŸ˜€ No gobbing please πŸ˜€
  7. A few top guys used to rock up at live pub gigs around our way - Colin Hodgkinson Boz Burrell Don Airey
  8. Found the guitar episode a good watch. They featured quite a few effects pedals/units and how these were used by certain players for their individual sound, one effect that was overlooked and preceded the analogue/digital delays, was the Wem Copycat, really deserved a mention.
  9. Also has a good taste regarding cars.
  10. Could have been worse, if you lent it to Sid Vicious, would have been covered in gob πŸ˜€
  11. The North East is a very good area for Free or Bad Company tribute bands, very strong following of both bands, they hold a Free Convention around the Newcastle area every year.
  12. We had ex Status Quo drummer Jeff Rich in our Free tribute band and we also played support to a Wishbone Ash gig, snap, in a strange sort of way.
  13. A few years ago, we had the opportunity to play at Rhodes Rock in Lindos with our Free tribute band, unfortunately we had to turn it down, as our guitarist was a teacher and he couldn’t get the time off in term time ☹️
  14. Reminds me of the Space Invaders game in the late 70’s.
  15. Yeh, but you were already on that slippery slope πŸ˜€
  16. Absolute respect to you guys, excellent band with great vocals (not forgetting bass), I would definitely pay to see the band perform. πŸ‘
  17. Our old vocalist from our rock band in the 80’s and good friend Paul Henderson has been doing his Aladdin Sane with his band and is widely regarded as being one of the top Bowie tribute acts, I would think you probably know of him and his band.
  18. Up our way there are venues that specialise in having soul/funk discos, I would rather go to one of them anytime over watching a crap live band.
  19. And goes by the name of Tom Pepper πŸ˜€
