  1. Currently suffering with it after clearing leaves in the garden, been having back issues for years since suffering a serious bout of sciatica. Was using Trace Elliot for years, now using MarkBass.
  2. Skunk Anansie, Twisted, bass led from the very start and all the way through.
  3. Having read the Cetera post in who are you seeing next, he mentioned going to see Living Colour sometime soon. I had to give this wonderful track a listen.
  4. Could also be something to do with the superb guitar solo on it 👍
  5. That puts a different perspective on it as you were actively promoting yourself as a dep, which you didn’t mention in your initial post.
  6. I would personally view the outcome of audition three as a bit of an insult. We don’t consider you to right for the permanent bass role, but you can be one of our deps, stuff that.
  7. Sky Arts 9pm tonight (24th November) Greatest Guitar Riffs Part 1 of a brand new three part series.
  8. My wife suggested I learn the bass line to this classic, so I have been listening to it a lot, lovely bass line, but I’m struggling to accurately get up to tempo at 114bpm, at the moment I’m comfortable at 90bpm, so a way to go yet.
  9. Fish & Chips, Burger & Chips probably £35 each in The Shard.
  10. Surprised your plumber didn’t fit a Magna Clean filter in the new system, unless you have it located elsewhere or that canister thingy in the bottom right of your picture is a similar device.
  11. The Trace gave me a snappier tight punchy sound I cannot seem to replicate with the MB. The MB gives a massive fuller sound, several sound engineers at gigs I have played, have mentioned how good it sounds, which is nice to hear from the guys in the know.
  12. Loved my Trace rig, best sound I have ever had, the downside was the hernia I had through lugging it about, especially the 4 x 10 cab, after this I moved over to the lighter MarkBass rig.
  13. That looks very much like the C*ck Inn in Werrington, I thought they had knocked bands on the head there, played there many times, lots of changes with management over the last few years made it very inconsistent with band bookings and cancellations.
  14. Coverdale at his finest, unfortunately a pale shadow of the vocals nowadays.
  15. Why the ridiculous delivery dates, it’s not a three piece suite that’s being purchased, it’s a small bag of strings.
  16. Wearing a belt like lot 2 on stage, you end up with the damage to the rear of the Bolin Precision ☹️
  17. I was thinking how I would describe it, then I read Upside Downers post, exactly Jingly Jangly but not in a good way like the Birds. The vocals were pretty average, no real stand out features. IMO, the first track on an album should be one of the strongest and grab your attention from the off, unfortunately this one failed with me.
  18. One minute twenty seven seconds into the first track, I bailed out. Not for me.
  19. Are you on any medication for the ET, I was prescribed 2 x 40mg Propranolol tablets per day by the Neurologist, it definitely helps.
  20. I was also diagnosed with ET a few years back, paid privately to see a neurologist as I thought it may have been the start of Parkinson’s, my mother was also diagnosed with ET and then Parkinson’s in her later life, it’s definitely a genetic condition. The ET started in my left (fretting) hand, which is getting progressively worse, but it’s now also started in my right hand, my playing ability has been slightly affected and I definitely cannot play some stuff I played years ago.
  21. Have you heard Lionel Ritchie recently, that dispels the genre theory.
  22. One other option is to see a top rated tribute band, the musicianship is spot on and the vocalists are of a younger age and can emulate the vocals in the original keys with ease.
