  1. Seasoned professional musicians with Elton, Davy, Nigel and Ray have been playing live and recording with him from the start almost. You put guys of this calibre on stage and you are rewarded with the performance we witnessed tonight. 👍
  2. Currently watching Van Der Valk on ITV, just flicked over to Elton during an advert, just caught a small bit of Benny and the Jets, what a great band with a cracking bass sound, will be watching it later on catch up.
  3. Yes, he is becoming the Christopher Biggins of the music world.
  4. No improvement on Debbie Harry’s vocals since the cringiest at the I.O.W. 👎 My wife has already left the room saying Debbie is just shouting/talking and not actually singing.
  5. Looked up the line up on the TV quickly and was expecting this -
  6. I recon it will be Kiki Dee (Don’t go breaking my heart) His first No 1 single in the U.K. and USA charts.
  7. Word has it, some of the food outlets are charging £8 for a portion of chips !!
  8. There is already a thread on Glastonbury in General Discussion.
  9. Their current bass player is suffering with a back problem, Matlock filled in for the festival gig.
  10. Currently on topic, IOW performance. Debbie Harry singing in tune.
  11. Totally agree that her vocals are very poor. I paid good money to see Blondie in Nottingham in December 2002, it’s the only gig I have walked out of, absolutely atrocious performance.
  12. Blimey, Lemmy has risen again and come back as a drummer. 😀
  13. Just watched this after recording the repeat, superb, great backing band 👍
  14. Uriah Heep we’re the first live band I had seen. The Leys Club, Letchworth, October 16th, 1971.
  15. Definitely the 70’s, the music attached to so many great memories, left school, started work, first motorcycle and started dating my lovely wife.
  16. I’m brassed off, I missed this last night. ☹️
  17. Curtly’s band is called Spirited, I had the pleasure of seeing them perform at the Galley Bay Hotel in Antigua, superb professional band, had a chat with Curtly during the break, a nice friendly guy. 👍 Ex West Indies captain Ritchie Richardson also in the band on guitar.
  18. Also the late John Miles on guitar who died in 2021.
  19. Fret it, I personally can’t stand playing open strings unless absolutely required.
  20. It’s a shame Chickenfoot are no longer active, they would definitely be worth going to see live.
  21. Currently on holiday in St Lucia, just heard a reggae version of Comfortably Numb over lunch. 👍
  22. Great band, saw them at their height at Cambridge Corn Exchange. We used to do Two Princes in our set, a killer song for the vocalist, if it’s played at slightly faster tempo it’s a real job to cram all the words in.
  23. She looks nothing like Freddie Mercury, he was much better looking.
