1. Chromes on everything for me, and each bass still sounds completely different to the others, despite what some folks will tell you!
 2.
You [s]probably[/s] definitely need to specify where you're based.
Fixed!
 3.
You might run into trademark issues with 'Quattro' as it's registered by Audi Something with 'valve' in the name like 'Valvolicious' perhaps?
Only a problem if they have registered it in the category that includes musical instruments.
 4. Great sounding bass, and not a bad looker either. *tips out piggy bank* Oh well...
 5. We all do it - buy loads of pedals until our pedalboards are over-run and our drawers and shelves are bulging, then realise there are some that just aren't getting used. So here are the latest victims in my Autumn cull: (1) Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe Jr - boxed with instructions This stellar vibe pedal has been discontinued, and is becoming increasingly hard to get hold of. In case you didn't know, Roger Mayer is the FX guru who used to work on Jimi Hendrix's effects pedals. This one shares the circuitry of his full-size Voodoo Vibe, but with fewer external controls. It gives you the choice of hard-wired or buffered bypass, and runs from a 9V battery or Boss-type power supply (neither included). Full details here. It has had home use only since I bought it new, and is in excellent condition, with just a couple of little nicks in the casing. I have never used velcro on it so it still has the rubber feet on the base. Looking for [s]£175[/s] [s]£160[/s][s]£140[/s] £105 delivered in UK! (2) MXR EVH90 Eddie Van Halen signature Phase 90 SOLD (3) DOD FX65 Stereo Chorus - boxed with instructions This is a fully analog chorus based around a Panasonic MN3007 BBD chip. According to DOD fan site America's Pedal, it is the last incarnation, made between 1990 and 1997. In addition to the usual Speed and Depth controls, you can control the Delay Time. Short times give you a metallic flangey effect, long times give a sweeter-sounding chorus. Although I'm not a huge fan of chorus, higher Speed and medium-to-high Depth settings, with max Delay Time, provide a lovely rotating speaker effect. Runs from a 9V battery, or a 9V-10V power supply (neither included). It is also fine with slightly higher voltages - I have run it at 12V with no problems, and the benefit of higher headroom for the delay chip. NOTE: It takes a 3.5mm power plug, centre positive. DOD pedals are known to be prone to two problems - loss of the battery compartment cover, and unreliable switching. This one is complete with cover, and has no issues with the footswitch. I have cleanly removed the rubber base (which is included) and fitted pedalboard velcro, which is clamped by the edges of the metal base-plate. Overall condition is good, with just some blue paint scraped away on either side of the case. Looking for £25 (firm) delivered in the UK.
 6.
Always seems like musical dogging to me, you meet up with complete strangers, perform intimate (musical) acts and go away feeling rather ashamed of yourself.

I have one starting up next Friday....
Where?
 7.
It is an older model. I believe its an early 90s model.
Yup, binding-post speaker connection supports early 90s provenance. (Later models have a Speakon instead.) So a bit more desirable
 8. The B3 takes a 9V centre-negative supply like any Boss pedal. However the spec mentions 500mA curren, and the PSA240 only gives you 200mA. It may work, and you wouldn't harm the B3 by trying, but you might find it goes dim or drops out.
 9.
Old Barefaced Midgets fit the bill. Might see some coming up used now the new range of barefaced is out. They are definitely mid focussed, though you can eq bass in if needed without farting out.
+1
 10.
I'd be interested to know the size of the test group of amps from each manufacture the OP has tested before he came to the conclusion that he can definitively declare that MB are unreliable. If that sample is less than 10 from each manufacturer what he's saying is, in its self, unreliable. IMHO. of course
I believe the thread was started after the OP bought my TC Classic head!
 11. Turned out to be rather dull. I'd hoped for something funkier!
 12. Surely a massive bargain here for someone - and the graphic sliders light up!
 13. 'If you would like a particular song played, come up and chat to us in the break. Whatever it is, we won't know it, but it's always nice to meet new people.'
 14.
There are two tones mixed representing each number, I imagine it would be very difficult to vocalise. I don't know if it's still the case, but it used to be possible to dial out just by tapping on the mouthpiece of a phone receiver. Before touch-tone phones, rotary phones simply emitted a series of audible clicks as the dial reset. You could mimic this by tapping with your finger and reliably connect to whatever number you wanted without needing access to the dial or key pad. I imagine it would still work, otherwise rotary phones would no longer work.
Maybe it was that then. It was a long time ago!
 15. They actually have tones associated with them anyway. I remember years ago seeing something on TV where a blind fella, with a great sense of pitch, could mimic the tones that would connect you to a distant telephone exchange FOC. Sorry, bit of an unintentional hijack there!
 16. If you are unfamiliar with folk instruments, this is an Octave Mandola or Irish Bouzouki. It is tuned G-D-A-E (low to high) one octave lower than a regular mandolin. The G and D strings are doubled one octave higher, the A and E strings doubled in unison. The overall range is therefore close to that of a guitar. If a 12-string guitar and a mandolin were to indulge in a night of passion, this instrument might be the result! It is a FoolFish design, made by Hora in Romania. There is an onboard Artec 3-band pre-amp, with an end-pin jack output. It comes with a light duty gig bag, and I am also including a mandolin chord book. It is still in excellent condition. I bought it a couple of years ago, intending to use it in my country band. However I never achieved much proficiency, as soon afterwards I underwent a major bass renaissance, thanks to this very forum! I am looking for £145 shipped within the UK, obviously a bit less if you collect.
 17. Ignore what people say is or is not done. I have used fingernails to get a bright, graunchy sound. If it works for you, do it!
 18. I'm not a hater, but I used to own a 35W kickback model, and I could never get rid of the 'thin-ness' in its sound. If your Hartke suits or suited you, I have no problem with that.
 19.
Refurbished. Apparently.

Typo. He meant "Defurbished".
Rubbished?
 20. Another option would be a box-only synth and a controller keyboard with enough keys to meet your requirements. I'm a big believer in stating the obvious btw!
