    Absolutely! The One 10 has a lovely rich vintage sound. I used mine with an Ampeg PF50T to great effect, and according to www.disssa.de the PF20T has a lot of the B15 vibe going on. (But be aware that some of the early models of these amps reportedly suffered from hum.)

    Update - EBS did reply, and gave me the full spec of the capacitor. I have bought a couple in case I do need to replace it. Amp sounded great at the Bowie tribute rehearsal. I got the full rig out again yesterday and played my Dingwall PZ5 through it, now fitted with rounds (Elixir Nanoweb). That is one quality sound!

    I'm gravitating towards the earlier preamp and the grid biased power amp. I've never found much use for the Ultra Lo filter either but some kind of bright switch could be useful. It will only take a couple of extra components to provide the cathode biased option, so I'll probably include a switch for that on the rear panel.

    Cheers chaps. My last PP amp build was the Trainwreck Rocket, which is a stripped-down AC30 top boost and uses a long tailed pair PI.

    I looked at the SB12 schematic (see below). The preamp uses 12AX7s but I fancy doing a build with octal preamp valves. Just out of interest, is there a name for that phase inverter arrangement?

    I mainly play finger style these days and I always surprise myself when I switch to pick playing, whatever the amp and cab.
