1. Is it possible to have a rack-mounted wah effect (say in a multi-fx) and run a single 3-conductor cable to a controller pedal out front?
2. PM'd a week ago but no response. Still available?
3. Bought a tuner pedal from John, arrived well packed and in excellent nick
4. I have 3 Precisions in my rack and no room to store any more but I still find myself coming back to this thread. Damn you GAS!
5. I love all my basses. They get different amounts of play time at different times, depending on what I'm working on.
6. Blue that's 2 more pedals than I ever use, and that one is a tuner!
7. What BF cab is that? (Not to detract in any way from the awesomeness of the amp.)
8.
I always used a flanger for that and got the sound spot on. They're kind of the same aren't they?
Yes and no. They both feature multiple swept filter notches resulting from delaying the processed signal and mixing it with the original. However, in a flanger the delay time is the same for all frequencies, whereas in a phaser the delay time is frequency-dependent, so each frequency is delayed by a different amount. Hope that helps!
9. Having gone for a change of gauge on my skinny-string guitars I now have 6 sets of Ernie Ball 10's to dispose of. Gauges (in thousands of an inch) are: E 46 wound A 36 wound D 26 wound G 17 plain B 13 plain E 10 plain All packs are sealed and have not been opened. These cost from about £5.50 per set online, but you can have six sets for just £20 (equivalent to £3.33 per set delivered).
10. Here (in no particular order) are some of the benefits I've reaped from learning to sight read: Paid gigs with bands who play from dots The immense joy of playing with a Big Band The ability to sight sing Access to music written for other instruments (i.e. not just 'tabbed out' for guitar or bass) Virtually endless learning resources Faster and more accurate transcription skills Being taken more seriously by traditionally schooled musicians
11. My wife comes to most of my country gigs because she enjoys both the music and the company of the other band WAGs. She rarely comes to dep gigs unless she can sit with friends. When people have occasionally enquired as to how many of my gigs my wife attends, neither of us have been bothered by the question.
12. I have one of these, excellent bass, GLWTS. Oh, and nice bedspread too!
13. Do they not weigh a lot compared to the usual synthetic fabric gig bags?
14. Let's face it, we're all just marking time as we wait for Les to chime in with some expert advice...
15.
Now the owner of a Vox AC15 C1 boy it's alot louder than I thought it would be. It's in absolutely immaculate condition, the previous owner takes good care of his gear (cracking gear he's got too). Thanks everyone for the suggestions
Good choice, enjoy!
16. Obviously this:
17. I don't recall seeing too many 3-tone sunburst Mustangs - GLWTS!
18. Hi Adam, and welcome to Basschat. It was thanks to your earlier YouTube video that I got to use TouchOSC on my iPad to control Reaper. The only issue that I have is that other devices in the household sometimes steal the device IP addresses and I have to go into TouchOSC and Reaper settings to get them talking to each other again!
19. Won't that mainly be: (a) A Helix on the floor; or (b) A Helix in a rack?
20.
Errrrm... It may be a small matter but when is original 'original'? Original Fretless Fender P Bass from 1974 Maple Neck - Original Finish and Machine heads Lake Placid Blue body Refin by JKG London Original P Bass pickup and coil winding - 1974 Volume and Tone Pots - New 0,05 Tone Cap - Old after market Bridge & Pick guard
At least they have pointed out what is original and what is not. I'm more interested in another item they have for sale, namely my dream YOB guitar:
