Over the next few days I will be testing and sorting my excess valves. I own 4 all-valve guitar amps and 2 bass amps with valve front-ends, and I have ended up with far more than I will ever need! All are tested and working unless otherwise stated - those are the actual valves sitting in my Orange valve tester (you can see their matching values on the LED ladder). Prices include UK postage. If you are looking to buy more than one lot I will reduce the cost accordingly. (1) Matched pair of Sovtek EL84 / 6BQ5 - made in Russia - £13 (2) Sovtek EL84 / 6BQ5 - made in Russia - £7.50 (3) [s]Electro-Harmonix 6V6EH 6V6GT - made in Russia - £9[/s] WITHDRAWN (4) Fender-badged Sovtek 12AX7WC (ECC83) - made in Russia - £6.50 Both triodes have the same matching value, so this valve is suitable for use as a phase splitter [s](5) Vintage Brimar 6V6GT - made in England - £14 - with free ornament (see below)[/s] WITHDRAWN [s]The valve in the picture tested good with a matching value of 7. It came to me in an amp with another one, which came up as a fail with a matching value of only 2. The amp was working on both valves, but I can't in good conscience put up the second valve as a 'runner'. I am therefore including it as an ornament at no extra charge! The price above is for the working valve. I will clearly indicate which is which. Hope that makes sense![/s]

I used to own an 80s Gibson LP Junior, but yours has what mine sorely lacked - a wrap-around bridge!
I somehow never realised these worked with bass! A buddy had one to use with his Variax and it was a very cool toy. Have a good-luck bump!
I presume that was one of the Bass Pods! There are amp models on the POD 2.0 that can work quite well with bass - Brit Classic (1968 Marshall 'Plexi') at low gain, Tube Preamp) - this is principally a device for skinny-string guitars. Don't forget trade offers -
Secondly, and more commonly, some digital pedals might leak noise into the daisy chain which is then picked up by other pedals in the chain. To test this out, put all your known good analog pedals in a chain and then try introducing one digital pedal at a time. Listen for increased hiss, or digital clock noise which sounds like chirping - you might not even have to put the pedal in the audio path to get this, just have it on the daisy chain.
If a digital pedal is creating clock noise on a shared daisy chain, it may be worth threading its power lead a few times through a ferrite core. This creates a small inductance that is invisible to the DC supply, but presents a very high impedance to the problem frequencies. Although these frequencies are too high for us to hear, they can heterodyne with other signals to produce audible noise (sticking my neck out with that one!) You can get clip-on ferrite cores for a couple of quid from Maplin:
There's a pub around here that will seemingly only ever book classic rock covers. Even our old-skool R'n'B trio was deemed to far from what they want....so heaven help anything from the 21st century!
I expect they were trying to retain a certain clientele (double denim, shoulder-length hair etc...)

Welcome Cameron! Your avatar pic suggests you might have some recordings to share here too...
He can't help himself can he, that version needs no piano, lol.
It's the same with 'Later', it would be much better if JH didn't play frickin' boogie-woogie piano over everything.

I insure with Elephant and they were happy to add 'Musician - pubs & clubs' for little or no extra. Don't say 'Musician - rock and pop' though - that bumps it right up!

King Tut, I know where you're coming from. I ran and fronted a 3-piece for 4 years, sorted the gigs, dealt with the clients, looked after publicity etc. In the end I decided just to go out as a freelancer/dep, but in fact I have ended up joining a couple of bands that are principally run by other people. Bliss!

Two amps, two cabs, that can be used in any combination; plus a titchy combo (see my signature below).

This was apparently the second most popular pedal in the Soundtank (aka 'Potato Bug') series, after the TS5 Tube Screamer. If you are unfamiliar with the 5 series, they were a budget follow-up to the 8, 9 and 10 series, with a plastic shell on a metal baseplate. More info can be found here. It's a distortion/overdrive pedal. I found it excessively vicious so I replaced the clipping diodes with nearly-matched LEDs, which allows a much more usable range of distortion. I also seem to recall replacing the 9V power inlet socket, as the original was knackered. The tone control is not simply a treble roll-off filter, it sweeps the mid band form piercing to fat. The overall sound is quite mid-centred, not really suitable for bass unless you are running a two-amp setup. The pedal is in fair condition, although the level pot crackles if you wiggle it. I am asking a paltry £15 delivered in the UK.
