I never paid that much attention! But yeah. The BC Rich one. Not the melty looking Pedulla. Moot point, as none of them are likely to come into my possession.
-
I'd rather have a Pedulla Punisher
-
That's not a name I ever expected to see on BC. Caverna Magica is a great album.

Will it need to be short scale? Or is she big/tall enough to manage a long scale?

HOW hard is it to find a decent band to play in these days?

No need to apologise. It's what I started the thread for! -

After a deep breath, I tried again. Had a lengthy WhatsApp discussion with the singer, who suggested we have a proper chat, and asked me what time. We agreed on 8pm. I called at 8.05. No answer I called again 10 minutes later. No answer, no message. I was awoken at about 11pm by the singer. And blearily told him where he could shove his band. Are they really all this bad? (Once I'm asleep, for your own safety, leave me that way) -
Looks like it might be a home-brew, judging by the hardware.

Should've just had the "usual" MEC 2 band EQ in it. I'm surprised that the pickups are passive (although I'm sure that the Duncans in my Streamer LX6 were)

I wonder if it would be possible to make it with 2x 16 ohm 10" drivers in parallel (for 8 ohm) and 1 x 8 ohm 10" driver in parallel with the pair for an overall 4 ohm load? The catches? The 8ohm driver will need a power handling twice that of the single 16 ohm units. The frequency response might not be in keeping with the other pair of drivers, and the excursion would probably be different, too. That might be resolved by experimentation; perhaps putting it at the bottom of the enclosure could help disguise any issues, especially as the top driver is nearer to ear level.
-
If you made me guess, assuming all the pots are in play, I'd hazard that it's a non- standard preamp with Vol, Pan, B/T on one stack and mid/ frequency on the other. More importantly, best wishes on a speedy resolution to the kidney stone issues.. 👍

I see you have the Broughton HPF...
-
That's effectively how I run mine.

I figured the desk would want a full-range signal, so they could apply whatever filtering they wanted without it being coloured by my hpf. As such, my signal chain goes; Preamp (Inc DI or line out for the engineer's own DI) >> HPF/comp >> head >> cab.

Ah.. Totally agree with the Thumb. That 1st fret feels like it's a mile away. Less so for the Corvette. My Infinity isn't great in that respect either. The Streamer suffers less, but the Fortress is fine. That big top horn pulls the body back towards your right-hand side, and there's no dive either.
-
What do you not like about them? I've had 3 and still own 2. Generally, they're pretty good. The neck profiles aren't for everyone, the J-A-N 2 was a complete mis-step, and my experience of the newer (Warwick) tuners hasn't been great.
-
The Flashbacks are lovely. Very hard to find now. A Rockbass re-issue might be nice if they get the look right. When last I looked, The Fortress body shape was still available as a Custom order (so I guess it'd be Team or Masterbuilt, then) Prices were predictably ludicrous.

Like this one? Excellent bass. Takes a while to realise that EQ adjustments need only be very subtle to make quite big changes to the sound.

Illness Has Stopped Me Gigging Temporarily

I'm struggling to even find the energy to play at home. I get home and simply collapse in a heap. Due to Gastro-Intestinal issues, I've lost 32lbs over 6 weeks, and can't really put it back on. Medically, things are underway. I've had one (unpleasant) procedure, and am awaiting the results of a CT scan, but that's not helping the terminal lack of energy. Best quote of the whole episode goes to my GP; "What? You're still at work ?" -

I knew it was Rhino. Didn't know it was an Alembic. Presumably also used on "Phoenix"? The Bass sound on that album is amazing (if a bit "of it's time"..) -
I have one bass in D standard. When I want E standard, I stick a capo on the 2nd fret* *Other positions are available
-
Nice bass... That pickup and electronics package is ace. I have it in an EDC 715 (minus the mid control) I wouldn't call the mid position "bright", more like "accurate" - assuming the EQ is flat. Still, all 3 positions are eminently usable, perhaps even more so than on the Ray5 or Sterling - I'm not a fan of a single pickup in series, even if it is level-matched to the SC and parallel settings.
