1.
A famous bass player once told me "if you're thinkin', it's stinkin'" I reckon he was right.
who was it?
 2. not really the hardest of songs. however in every band I play in I expect Good times Bad Times by Zep and Hard to Handle by Black Crowes
 3. SO...........if you were to use this scheme..............What would you get?
 4. The OP wasnt about why people shouldnt take out credit!!!! I think we should maybe get back onto the OP topic of what would you like to get before the scheme changes, rather than should people use credit or not. As said above, its your business and nobody elses and everyone has different uses and views on credit!
 5. I am uber interested in the 500head and 210 cab. My only issue is that the cab has no handles except the flimsy number on the lid. Surely we wouldnt be expected to cart it around using that alone!!
 6.
Who is next up for this ?
gub, Jacqueslemac then me I think. Unless the other 2 have had it already I am willing to take it the noo
 7.
some advice. If you cant afford it now. then you cant afford it. advice 2. out of debt, out of danger advice 3. never a beggar or borrower be advice 4. a great bass player can make a cv squire sound better than a poor player with an Alembic Just my 2 pennies worth Regards Mark
Im a sheriff officer buddy (bailiff to you south of the border). Im up to speed on debt and I think your off the mark with your comments. Debt is only an issue when you cant repay it. If you cant affort it now however can afford it over a 12month period and want or need said item straight away,,,,,then there aint no issue. Just my views of course.
 8. I want an orange bass terror and sp210 or sp212. I actually had a wee look to see if I could get it the noo. But none of the shops on the website has it.
 9.
Cack pic.
Dear god Hillbilly,,,,,,,who is your roadie and what do you feed him to be able to move that rig around???
 10.
I just plant my thumb into the space right next to the pick up (cover removed)
yeah I initially tried that, but I just couldnt make it work. Maybe with a bit more practice however I tend to move about alot and when I try sticking my thumb back into the hole ( fnarr fnarr) I feel I lose my place.
 11. death race came on 5,,,,thank f*** hahaha
 12. hey there buddy, There is a for sale section for amps. Just scroll down a bit on the main screen. This is more a Q&A section about them.
 13. +1 on that wayne. I dont bother with boiling strings. But I do love having my boys gleeming clean. Both get a good clean with dunlop 65 and the Jag gets the lemon juice on its fretboard to make it nice and lush. The Ric has a varnished neckboard so looks amazing all the time
 14.
Those bezels are a brilliant idea!
+1 Although I found it hard to decide on the rest or the cove choice bezel. After speaking with Simon (thanks again buddy) I came to the conclusion the cove would be the more suitable to my needs. A quick email to Robbie at rickysounds and now its just a case of waiting at the letterbox until it arrives
 15.
If I hadnt sold my amp I wouldve bought this!
I know how you feel buddy, if I ever owned one of the amps, I would have been all over this.
 16. I did kinda the same thing. Only the other way around. I bought regular straplocks only to find the screws were far too small for the holes!!!!!!!!!!!!! bloody Rickenbacker
 17.
If women are so good at multitasking how come a headache stops them doing anything else?
why the f*** am I laughing
 18.
Absolutely to all of that I had flats on my Ricky which was a bit different. Sounded great!
Oh now then Tim,,,,,,,,I was in such a quandary regarding this matter. When I got the bass it was in a bit of a bad way. Thankfully Mark (7string) was to my rescue to give it a right good setup and cleansing. So needless to say I needed new strings. I had heard amazing things about the Ric with both rounds and flats and I honestly didnt know what to do. So rather than starting a thread about it and getting possibly a 50/50 split and being no further forward, I just went straight for the rounds and will try flats on the the next string change,,,,however as its me that may be a few years!!!!
 19.
I didn't use a plectrum with my Rickenbacker & now I wish I had. I think some basses lend themselves to that style - my Hofner Verithin springs to mind. I used to just rest my thumb on the pickup surround and got used to that after a short time. Ultimately though it wasn't the bass for me so I sold it on but more because it was a lot of money to have lying around on something that wasn't getting picked for gigs.
I dunno, its just a bass to me. If the song needs a pick then so be it, if it needs finger style then all the better hahaha. I want my bass to be everything I need and I hope the Ric is the man for the job............so far so good anyway!
 20.
Steve, can you not just jam a heavy plectrum between the top of the bridge pickup and the body as I have done with my G&L? Jez
Nah Gerry, the pickup kinda floats in a large hole. Hence why they have these bezels that fill the whopping hole that shows around the pickup once the bridge pickup cover is removed.
 21.
How about a pickup surround and raised bezel from Pickguardian? That's what I had on this bass
cheers Del, but ideally it has to have some kind of thumbrest on it.
 22.
Yup, your drastic mispelling of finger achieved that
dear god that spelling was off!!! sorted and head hung low.
 23. Now I have your attention,,,,,,this is a Rickenbacker question you dirty person. I am having fun with my ric, however I am finding it awkward to anchor my right hand anywhere. On my Jag I easily rest it on the jazz pickups easily enough on either the bridge or neck pup. However on the Ric I am finding it difficult to find a position to rest. I normally play over the bridge pickup anyway and I believe there is a bezel of some sort that has a thumb rest..Is this correct? I dont fancy adding a thumbrest and drilling new holes so thats not an issue. Any help would be great brothers and sisters.
 24.
I didnt say that you said to me they would.
dont get arsey, these threads tend to get that way these days. A cant be bothered with them. As im sure BC'ers dont either. Hopefully end of that subject and swiftly moving on.
