4.
Bummer Steven.... What about still coming down on the Sunday.....would be a shame to miss out entirely....!!
the chances of me being able to drive on the Sunday would be a big no no Dave. I loved the weekend last time and made many new pals. Hence why I need the boys to rally and help me keep the the force strong.
 5.
And I prefer a P body with a J neck. We should keep in touch!
are they interchangeable???????? because I would love a P-bass tele slab body with a jazz prufile neck!!!!!!!!!!!!
 6. oh noooooooooooooooooo. ok chaps, my pal and his girlfriend just got engaged (thats not the worst bit). the party is on the 5th Feb The night is being held in a local pub and the entertainment will be a few bands and my new band Fool's Shadow has been asked to do a few tunes. This will be the bands first airing. So my brother-in-law (drummer) who is even more pally with this fella is itching to do it. To be fair the night will be amazing as most of my pals will be there plus I get to play liive with my new band................ So I now need the Moffateers to convince me why Moffat would be my better option.
 7.
Perhaps this- It Just appeared at Marks today. 8.
I'm a bass player who had a shop, now clearing what i have left over, whats the difference,it's cheap tweet tweet.
its not cheap (tweet tweet)
 9. I would give some of my head hair up if I could grow a beard. I actually shave my head bald more often than I shave my face!!!!but yet theres theres still more hair on my head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 10. good times bad times - led zep hard to handle - black crowes fire - hendrix cant stop - RHCP sweet emotion - aerosmith These are songs I love playing and really get into the song when the band kick in. Like everyone else though, there are loads of bass lines that I love and this list may be added to or edited at any time hahaha
 11. Done a fantastic bit of selling to Andy today and I believe both parties came away very happy. If you are to do business in this forum then I would recommend Andy for a no quibble no hassle transaction. A true gent and a pleasure to do business with. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Cheers buddy and hope to see you about soon. Cheers Steven
 12.
I have one of these and it's superb, I believe they have been discontinued now as Damage Control has merged with another company so will become quite scarce. I've thought about selling mine before but everytime I plug it in it puts a huge grin on my face and I can't let it go So have a bump on me and good luck!
I had it at rehearsals and I have to agree it sounds wicked. My only problem is that I can only use it at its minimum settings, nevermind the nuclear settings. I hate having something that I cant use it to its potential!!! So come on folk make an offer on this pedal and give it a home where it will be happy being abused
 13.
And as I've said before, if you're looking to get a Wal sound on a tight budget then they do a passable impression.
or even better,,,they do an amazing bongo tone too
 14.
Nice bass btw!
its still for sale
 15.
The above post seems perfectly reasonable in most circumstances when someone has a bass they no longer wish to own and decide to sell (I from personal choice try to pass on basses at the same as I paid or a discount to reflect wear and tear but that's my choice and my ethics system). But when the seller says he always tries to make a profit and equates that with "bettering himself" it does suggest that he bought the bass only to flip it. I would prefer eBay be the conduit for that than a community that generally looks out for it's own. Just my personal opinion.
+1
 16.
I'm gonna have to agree with Davy on this one. He bought the bass from someone that was happy to make a deal. It's not like he set out to rip him off, or pressure him into, indeed the bass had been on here for a while without being sold so was probably doing the previous owner a favour as he needed the money. If you don't agree with him making a profit then don't buy it but I don't think its for others to jump on his post trying to be the moral police. I have more of an issue with the previous owner divulging how much it was sold for. That information was part of a contract between davy and him and should not be shared without davys permission. I believe there are laws to prevent that in the commercial world (or certainly were where I used to live). Whilst I don't personally agree with buying stuff off here for a quick flick (all the stuff I have bought is for personal use), leave the guy to sell the bass for whatever he wants - it will only sell if someone else thinks they are paying the right price!
all very well to buy a bass for the price its asked for.....However to flaunt the re-sale of same bass for an extra 150bucks in the same forum your purchased it from is where its real slap in the chops. As we all like to think of ourselves as a community....this certainly does not fit in with that feel!
 17.
These are really nice pedals, probably the best I've heard in terms of sounding like a cranked valve amp. Great if you can afford the pedal board space!
Yeah Gareth im pretty sure these are awesome IF you can use them in your sound. Unfortunately I seen the pic of it and though 'o now thats big red shiney and has pretty colours' I read a few reviews saying how amazing it is. But when I got it home I nearly took my side wall off my house with it!!!!! Its just too powerful for my needs. Im taking it to rehearsals today to give it a bit of a run, not sure if I would be able to implement it into any tunes so thank goodness for true bypass hahahahaha. So come on folk get this bargain,,,,,these retail at £200. Cheers
 18. Dunno about Chris, but I am. I still maintain this was a terrible use of this forum.
 19. aye but nobody is offering you 750notes, you are touting for 750!
 20.
i would sell it as its worth £750 all day long you missed a good bargain if i didnt make anything how will i progress its worth that money anyway and i dont understand your saying this do u not want me sell it at a profit
First off, I didn't miss a good bargain. I have a bongo and I am not in the market for another. Secondly, I'm sure the folk on basschat will agree that this kind of business attitude just stinks!!
 21.
obviously i want to make a profit thats the name of the game so nobody should be put off if your interested its worth that and more thanks
Your in the wrong forum if that's your view.
 22.
i hardly ever keep them for long come and have a look, dave will tell he only sold to buy his sax im happy daves sort of happy but he wouldnt have what he waned i mean to say it was on long enough anyone could have had but i mean to say £600 is still not peanuts.
I still think a 150buck flip so quickly is a bit cheeky. However as its now your bass its yours to do with as you see fit. Would it not be the done thing to sell it on at the price you bought it for seeing your re-selling it on the site you purchased it from only 6 days ago.
 23. few shoddy iphone pics...1st pic is bypass, 2nd pic is active on tube 1 (glows orange), 3rd pic is nuclear setting(both tubes glow red), 4th pic is rear shot.
 24. I think you owe yourelf this bass and a really good wee practice amp to play through at home. As bass is our passion I think it would be daft not to reach the peak of your desires and finish on a high with something to show for it. You deserve this bass and its up to you on what you do with it once you have it.
 25. Ok chaps, I bought this pedal on a bit of a whim due to great reviews. However this pedal is far too powerful for my needs and is mainly for a metal player rather than a blues/rock player like myself. The pedal comes with a non-standard power supply. Its pretty much mint except from a few minor scuffs. Needless to say this item works perfectly and there are no issues with it,,,,,except its too bloody powerful. Heres the link to the pedals website. http://damagecontrolusa.com/products/solid-metal/ Cheers Steven
