1. i loved these basses as soon as I seen them, so thankfully it was a no brainer at that first hurdle. thankfully they play and sound are as amazing as they look (to me of course)
 2. outside woman blues by cream or redhouse by hendrix
 3.
You're not meant to sell this Steve Ooh look I've bumped it
I don't understand Tom, quality bass and case for a good price!!!!! Maybe your right, same thing happened when I had the bright idea of selling my Jag. Dodged a bullet with that I guess as I would have kicked myself for letting it go..
 4. Does anyone know a source I can get replacement guards?? Cheers
 5. im very pro bongo. My 4HS is sweeeeeeeeeeet. I had a 3 band stingray and although it was lovely and played amazing, it just dint have enough dirty grunt for me. The Bongo does the job everytime. The look of the bass is not for everyone, but we all dont want to be P and Jazz clones (dont worry folks, I have both). The power you get from these basses is 2nd to none, the tones you can dial in are mental. The overall feel for the bass as a whole is purely animal. I bet if I put my bongo in a cage fight with another bass,,,,it would do it right in hahahahaha
 6.
That reminds me - I'd quite like to see Thom Yorke's band (Atoms For Peace I think), of which he is a member.
not if this is anything to go by!!!!!!!!!! am on suicide watch the noo after watching it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7P7nkj-dzI plus Flea on a hofner,,,,whats the world coming to????????????????///
 7.
I might be joining the Bongo hoard soon!
you wont be disappointed
 8.
played a bongo 5 HH in edinburgh in a sexy purple, Found it very comfertable to play seated in a chair and on a bar stool, Love the bongo, though i don't get on with the neck, need more time playing it, also LOVE the shape haha!
im not sure where this uncomfortable side of things has come from. the bass is a real cracker. hangs well, sits well and plays amazing. regarding the neck,,,,if you know me, then you will know im a jazz bass fan, this neck fits into my hand very well and plays fast too.
 9.
You do realise you could pop 2 of those 15" cabs under your 4x10 & run the lot off your amp*. * provided both 15s are 8 ohm & your 4x10 is 4 ohm.
it would look amazing hahaha
 10.
but I also find them very ugly indeed.
11.
The little brother looks like the one I'd be buying!
I think you should. Infact everyone should own one
On that video, it looks quite uncomfortable to play sitting down. Is that right? The balance looks really odd. Any thoughts, Munk? Truckstop
am sitting with it the noo and its ok to sit with. I have just A-B'd it with the Jag and its exactly the same. As long as your forearm is resting on the top of bass then its a nice fit and wont go anywhere.
 12.
I'm not familiar with that head and the work PC makes searching for things a bit awkward. If it's a valve head, IE not just a preamp valve but vales in the power section, you don't want to under-load it any more than you'd want to overload it. If it's transistor, go ahead and fill your boots with the 8 ohm cab
aye its solid state Nick.
 13.
Planning on selling the 4 ohm & building up a collection of 8ohm cabs?
ideally i would have prefered 4ohm cabs, however ive been using a 15" at rehearsals and i like it, there is 15" ampeg for sale the noo so just checking out some details.
 14.
A quick google says 220W at 8 ohms.
bang on.....just did the same thing and found the info. thanks for the help all.
 15.
Depends on the am and how it drives it power as far as I'm aware (correct me if I'm wrong). What amp are you looking at?
its my B5R head brother. It has its ouput at 2 and 4 ohm in the manual, but nothing for 8 ohm.
 16. just a quckie what output would you get with a 500watt at 2ohm head going into a 8ohm cab?
 17. would also be interested in some ampeg ampage. ideally looking for an ampeg svt 3-pro.
 18. The case isnt as good as the MM flightcase that the stingray came in chris (but lets face it, you would probably pay100bucks for that case alone), in saying that, its a very sturdy aluminium case with foam padding. Its the case that my bongo arrived in. I will add this pic of it, however if anyone fancies a better pic, then please pm me.
 19.
Cant belive this is still for sale, in case anyone is wondering to buy or not, did you know that the Dolphin Grey was a Japan non export model ???? and rare over here esp as its an early one ( tell by the input socket like a jazz new ones have the strat socket) more info here..... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fender_Aerodyne_Jazz_Bass and into the bargin you could not buy from a more honist genuine chap. Thinking about it myself now.....MMMMMMMM
nice one chris, I wasn't aware of this either, goes to show ignorance is not bliss haha. I actually had a right good play on this through the ampeg gear earlier. It sounds so freakin sweet! It's soo booming and room filling I am considering keeping it and just forking out for the markbass combo from my own pocket.
 20.
Hello all, Loving the look of the Bongo 6. Just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with them or if anyone knows where I could go and try one out? Any information at all (except the price tag) would be gratefully received! Truckstop
I have its little brother.
