1.
£400 for both of them or £200 each, collection only on these.
I love these kinda deals.
 2.
As I have just bought a new cab from this site which I'm going to pick up this weekend, I'll have some gear that I will no longer need, and need to shift 1) Ampeg B410hlf 400w at 4ohms 2) Ampeg B115e 200w at 8ohms Been gigging both for around about a year and they've been good to me. Never been worked at huge volume levels as the band I play in has very good pa support. They both have a few minor scratches and nicks in the tolex around the front, on the top area where a head would sit, but apart from that both are near enough blemish free. Also both have matching silverstone padded covers. (black & gold trim) Pics coming this weekend, when I can get both the cabs out of the band van Would be more than happy to split the pair 410 - £300 115 - £150 Both - £400 Collection would be preferred for ease. And if you're local feel free to come try etc I would consider posting, but it'd really have to be at the buyers expense and arrangement. My post code is SR8 3TW, County Durham Lewyyy
hey there, have you gigged these cabs together????
 3.
I already sense you are going to change. Sorry I just think you will. You may find that you are more suited to an active P bass sound with the way you are EQing the bongo.
Nah, I think im settling. The bongo and jag are already better basses than I am a player. Think its time to stop pissing about and try and become a better player rather than hoping buying a better bass will do that job for me. lets face it, If I cant get the tone im looking for out of these two tone monsters, then that tone doesnt exist!!
 4. Ok chaps a wee update on my bongo. Well I had full rehearsal today. The Bongo is actually a bit more middy than I had first thought whilst using at lower levels. Again though, this active circuit is extremely powerful, you only need to dial in very little at a time to get a tone you need. Having the 4 band EQ is a wee bit overwhelming too and as we all know, too many options may confuse or just basically be too complicated. So how did it go I hear you ask my brothers. <--------------- it went this well. This thing is a freakin monster. Not only does it have a lovely tone with everything set at centre on its eq, the playing on this thing is soo sweet. It has a lovely balanced body and neck, its not too heavy and hangs on me very well whilst I dance about like a prat. So mucking about with the EQ was a bit of a trial and error with me, at some points I had the laney 300watt amp i was using farting with far too much bass, at other times I had a real 'Stingray' sound with very punchy mids that seem to take over the overall sound. cutting the hi mids and treble and with the bass and low mids boosted gave the desired effect I was after and if I wanted to alter the tone I was using, I just used the pup pan to try thin it out. In saying that, it was tone overload and I couldnt stop playing about and trying out everything it had to offer. End result is that this bass works. It plays right, it sounds right, it feels right. Does this take the mantle of my 'go to bass' well not yet. However I dont want another bass except the ones I have........................ I AM CONTENT trust me brothers , its an amazing feeling.
 5. I will offer to buy this once my spouse buys my ashdown root note vegetable that I will try and sell within 2 months if you would wait 2 weeks until I reread this post and make sense of it.
 6.
No interest? Oh well egay here we come.
Tom have you tried gumtree???? thats also a great way of selling gear.
 7.
Assume that's why you get such a good amp for the price... By not paying for the brands premium 'lightweight' technology so to speak. It's a 2 person lift for it to be comfortable or your iron man. If you can cope with it being 'Traditional' bass amp weight... Then it's a winner!
I used to own a peavey 150TNT 15" combo............call me iron man hahahahaha
 8.
If you buy this months copy of Bass Guitar Magazine you will find that I reviewed it there! For what they cost its the best combo I've heard. My drummer prefers it to my EBS stack in terms of tone as well! Very hi-fi sounding, with a good compressor and huge amounts of bottom end and volume on tap. In fact more volume than I know what to do with! Great amp. Very very heavy though! Not exactly a portable beast! An EBS Gorm or Drome is all I'd change it for. Unless I had the chance to pick one up at a silly price, I can't imagine finding a better sounding combo this side of £1000
im quite suprised its heavy, I just assumed the TC was quite light,,,,,,dont know where I got that idea from!
 9.
Something non- EBS from me for a change. I've been using this for my D&B project as I wanted a combo for it. Sounds pretty good and does the job perfect... Do miss the EBS tone though. Anyone got a Drome or Gorm and fancy a swap ;-)
i was looking to buy one of these when the sale of my fender goes through.........any chance of a wee review brother??????????
 10.
You know something Steve, your dead right!! I am a muppet!! And I used to own one !! Dementia has set in early folks. Jez
11.
Just a shot in the dark but has anyone ever tried removing the pre amp and converting it to passive? I agree about the on off nature of the pre amp. It`s sometimes all or nothing but how would it sound passive? Or am I just being a muppett? Jez
yeah your a muppet gerry hahhahaha, you can turn the jag active or passive matey
 12.
Hi there The Jag has a much more versatile eq setup, so you really should be able to get a far wider variety of sounds out of it than the SUB. I'd stick with it and try all the different combinations you possibly can. For example, I'd imagine running the pickups in series, with a bit of extra bass and treble boost from the active circuit and panned slightly to the bridge pickup, should give you a really good sound. Best of luck Gareth
unfortunatly there is no pickup panning on these. this is 1 mod i would propably insist this bass should get. infact,,,how easy would that mod be and what kinda cost are we talking??? anyone in glasgow area that can do this??
 13.
NOOOOO.... You can't sell that!!!!!!!! **How about that I'm the 1000th visitor to the licks site
hahaha i was hoping you would bite hehehe. ah so you have seen my sweaty baldy head on the bands site..........not pretty hahahaha
 14.
What Jag is it?????
sorry Tino, private joke between me and Tom. The jags not for sale.
 15.
early Saturday Bump........whys it still here .......its a beauty
I have fancied one of these for a while. If the aerodyne sells Tom I will have it. I was mainly after some ampage, however these seem too good. YOu could always swap me my jag for this,,,,,
 16. just stick with what you have. your just talking yourself into buy or modding. in a few weeks it will be the same sh*te with a different bass you will be talking about. Take it from someone who has realised this (eventually)
 17.
I have to think about it :-)
what a tease!!!!!!!!!!!!! why even bother asking hahahahaha
 18. No brainer for me. Keep the jag and use that sub or ray for kindling
 19.
Steve is a great guy to deal with. If you are looking for an aerodyne then look no further!
Thanks for the kind words Hutton
 20. oh man thank god a was sitting down, that was genius hahahaha I liked the way he looked for it behind him too. Oh aye,,,the band was baws anyway.
 21. 2 pages on whether it's blonde or butterscotch!!!! Bet you wish you hadn't bothered now Tom hahahahaha
 22. I have a mint Fender Jaguar I was looking to move on, I just cant seem to get on with it...you interested?
 23.
Sorry GP, it's just when I sold my red Jag Steven was going to come to Teesside and stick it where the sun don't shine for daring to sell it. Oh look I've bumped it again
Don't worry tom, I have my ferry ticket booked over to Ireland!!! He still has time to remove this amazing bass from the thread!!!
 24.
Can't say I blame you about keeping the Jag, given only one bass. I quite fancy one myself. I must admit it took me a while to get used to the look of the Bongo though when I tried some (incl 5- and 6-stringers) at a couple of previous music shows, I guess I was pretty much converted.
yeah having that kinda quirky look to it made it all the more appealing,,,,now having played one I am blown away with what it can do.
 25.
I'd be interested to know how the Bongo compares to your Jag and Aero basses. Will it become your 'go to' bass?
Well its still quite 'middy' compared to the the fenders. But that 18v preamp is a crazy horse. Its just so powerful. The bass and Treble EQ kicks the fenders into touch and with the added hi and low mid options (that I tend to keep the lows more dominent and the hi's cut quite a bit) its just tone overload for me. Plus the blend of the pups again just keeps you smiling with the sheer grunt you get from either pup depending on the eq setting of course. The playability of the bongo is just as perfect as my stingray was, however the jazz necks just fit so nicely. I seem to pick up the bongo more often however this could just be because its my new toy. The fenders are also nicer to look at ive been told (by everyone so far ) If i was to have 1 bass right now,,,its the Jag, however watch this space as I havent gigged or had full rehearsal with the bongo yet.
