2. ive already stuck this into the gigs section but thought i would chance my arm here too as I know the gig section rarely gets viewed by the masses. Hola all, just a wee check,,,,,my band are having a gig a month sometimes 1 every 2 months. is there any promoters, bands who need more bands on their bill or pub owners that want a wicked rock/blues band to star in their venue..... Please PM me with any offers/advise. Cheers Steven

 10. if i had the cash I would have this......bump for a wicked lookin bass
 11. the start of the story certainly seems his heart (wallet) is in the right place.... however I think he just did it to get the bass. lets face it we are all human and we all want what we desire...if such a thing comes along then you well do what it takes to get it if its in your means to do so.
 12.
Well, whatever the real inspiration, the words were certainly appropriate, given Quaife's recent passing. I have to admit to a bit of a lump in my throat as he sang them - no-one will convince me he wasn't thinking of Quaife during that performance.
+1 on that dude. you really felt it too
 13.
According to an interview/prog he did for (I think) Arena a few years ago, 'Days' was written for his father when he died. G.
strange,,im sure he commented on that songbook show it was for pete. i may have misheard.
 14.
What's the big plan to sneak yet another rig past the missus this time? BTW to all interested in a deal, Steve's a topper of a bloke.
nice one Rich, however ive came to the conclusion the ampeg 4x10 is all the cab I could handle in 1 night for gigging due to me getting really unfit. So basses and amp heads only for me. HOWEVER if an ampeg 4x10hlf and b2re were to be offered!!!!!!!!!!!! well it would just be rude to decline
 15.
Was it my imagination or was he holding back a few tears as he sung "Days"? Hard not to be thinking about Pete Quaife, I'd imagine. I've seen him a few time in recent years and, apart from his undisputedly (surely?) great catalogue of iconic songs, the thing I really like is that he seems so proud of them (as he surely should be) and really seems to love playing them.
yip I was going to comment on that in my original thread, he seemed really emotional. im sure the song was written about Pete when he left the band, or certainly inspired it. So I can imagine how he would feel singing it now....im pretty sure thats why he was so adamant he was doing it when he got told to come off stage
 16. well we all know what Ray Davis is about, we all know the kinks. I recently seen him on the songbook show on sky arts and thought he came across as quite up himself and quite out of tune... Just seen him on Glasto on bbc2 (i think). He was freakin awesome I loved it so much, especially when they told him to come off as his time was up and he just said no hahahaha. Further to my interest was the bassist in the back....hardly a bit of footage of him however imagine my delight to see a Fender Jaguar sitting well and sounding great in the mix. All in all freakin awesome.
 17.
That's second hand electronics for you, sunshine - Can't give 'em away!
hahahahahaha brilliant
 18.
If I'd been offered the bassman I would bit your arm off. I will say though that the epiphone TB is a nice jag/jazz alternative. The humbuckers do give a full sound, and it slaps quite well. But like with most of the cheap epiphones it could use a better bridge and a pickup and electronic upgrade. +1 on my setup.
+1 on the setup on this JK bass thanks to stephen
 19.
Steve If you keep up this buying and selling frenzy you will have to change your name to McClarky. Have a bump! Jez
cheers Jez Hahaha, a know jez, its bloody shocking. As long as i have the 2 fenders I feel I can be a bit free and easy with the 3rd bass, only problem is that as the 2 fenders are freakin awesome it makes it a very harsh benchmark for other basses
 20. Stephen is a top bloke to deal with. I would have no problems dealing with him again. Cheers Matey
