2.
I have a H&K Bassbase 650, and i wouldnt part with it for the world, its the best sound i have ever had, tho for small function gigs it is too powerfull.
oh aye without a doubt they are the mutz nuts, I just don't really have a need for it. The fact I'm selling it at such a huge discount I'm suprised it ain't away, however as del stated they are just not known enough about
 3.
I could put you in contact with someone who would be interested for the right price :brow: with my record of basses I'd probably end up selling it back to you in a few months time anyway
am the same Del. However I would always usually prefer a swap of some sort cos I love messing about with new gear. The wife really aint keen on new gear coming in and 'cluttering' the house,,,,,but its fine for her to have the kitchen cluttered with fridge, freezer, washingmachine and dryer........bloody double standards!!!!!!!!!
 4. these wee amps just seem cool, have a bump from a fellow westcoaster
 5.
possibly due to the fact that there are relatively few about. Similar thing happened to me when I had the chance to be endorsed by Kustom - nobody seems to own them or even own up to owning them so I had to pass on the offer cos I don;t want to be endorsing something that might be crap. If it was a more popular brand that everyone talked about then you'd have sold it by now but some won't have heard of them or just may not have had the chance to try one. Not saying its a bad brand, I've heard good things about them, just that GAS is usually fuelled by likeminded people talking about something and that makes others want it as well and go out looking for it It is a pisser - you might have to sell your EB-1 if you can;t find a buyer for your amp
but who would by me eb-1?????
 6. Hola all, I have my H&K combo up for sale, infact its been there for sometime. As its not sold I have to ask myself how come? Do these amps have a bad rep or are they overpriced at retail? The amp itself is cracking, I just dont really have a need for it hence the sale, simple as that, its not because its the best amp in the world 'its just not my sound' or due to car needing work, wedding needing financed, my cat needs an operation 'i have to let it go'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its just that i have a rig that i would rather add to or alternativly get something in a bass or amp head.. Anyway, whats the script with the resale of these combos,,,can anyone shed some light?? Cheers Steven
 7.
I don't think that they will ever go up in value like JV Squiers etc but the fact that there are relatively few of them could add to the value if someone was really desparate to have one. The average person looking for a violin bass is going to go with a Hofner or Hofner clone. Even Epiphone themselves abandoned this model to go with a Hofner clone I've never tried one but its on my list of basses to try so I am serious about taking it off your hands if you decide not to keep it for the right price obviously. I expect it to sound a bit lighter than an EB-0 due to the smaller mass of the body and so for than I think more people would go for the EB-0.
I dont know why but i doubt i would ever go with hofner, I just dont like the look of the violin bass they do and I aint a big fan of the EB-0 or eb-3 or the hofner clone they do. Its funny how you have a taste or preference and nothing else will do. if anyone wants to swap an eb-2 (rivoli) for my eb-1 please get in contact The EB-1 really is a sturdy bass but as it has a P-bass style chunky neck and I love the thin jazz bass it may take a bit of getting used to, plus it needs a setup as ive already said. im really suprised the eb-0 goes for 140bucks brand new,,,,i wqas robbed
 8.
Is the Epiphone a set-neck like the Gibson, or bolt on?
bolt on matey
 9. nice one, i will see how i get on with it. My main issue is it just sitting in the room and not getting gigged. My aerodyne is getting used at next gig so will just wait to see if i fancy it as a gigging bass or not. as its mint condition and hard to find, I may just store it,,,,,any idea if these would go up in value in the years to come???
 10.
Quite like that wee bass
it needs a right good stetting up, so you may see it sooner than you think hahaha. I tried lowering the action but i reckon it may need a wee neck tweak and i think the nut is a bit large too.
 11.
Well they did copy the original design and make it out of plywood as a cheap copy of the 'original' bass
i thought these were made of mahogany!! http://www.elderly.com/items/55U-2714.htm where did you get your info??
 12.
it seems a shame to use a bass like that just for practicing
aye it looks the part and has a nice sound. Im really needing to get it in to get it setup properly though. One of my guitarists made a comment that i could use it when we do beatle covers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate when people dont know about basses used, they just see the violin shape and think hofner.
 13. decent I guess is the best description, it was very badly setup so had to adjust the action so i could get the strings to actually touch the neck. after that it was fun. Its basic compared to my other basses so didnt take much to get to grips with it. Playing through the ampeg in the pic was quite sweet, the clean channel gave me a light bass sound, I wouldnt say it was a very rough or aggressive vintage pickup which i had kinda hoped for, but very mellow and warm. When I put it through the OD channel, it really sounded sweet. I was playing about with it most of tonight and really digging it. Heres my issue now, is it a bass I would gig!!!!!!!!!!! My jag is my gigging bass and the aerodyne which i recently got is up next for my next gig in a few weeks.. im just not sure where I would use this bass. I mainly bought it as I love the look of it and now i have it im kinda lost as what to do. I see it being my practice bass for the house and may put the other basses away in there cases for their own safety as my wee fella is getting closer and closer to them as he is more mobile these days.
 14. a wee pic with all the boys together
 15. i knew these existed hahaha
 16.
I'll buy it off you if you don't like it I fancy trying one as well but the ones that come up on Ebay are usually Fecked You'll need to check out the Cream Reunion tour when Sir Jack of Bruce played a real one
aye del thats where I seen these from. The style of these basses just ooze cool. But its near on impossible to get them, I nearly bought one on ebay in in the states on monday for triple the price im getting this at due to international delivery and customs. I think the fella just want rid of it, plus he says its mint condition and barely used sinbeing bought first hand. woo hoo This must be the most proavtive sale though matey, I dont even have it yet hahahaha
 17. amazing dude, take what you like from my sig mate for it hahaha
 18.
No, but let's see it! No picture = no bass!
yip, your right, im currently bassless, im doing the deal tomorrow. thought i would get some ideas on it before i play with it when i get home tomorrow
 19. ok chaps, I finally got my hands on the elusive epiphone eb-1 bass. Needless to say I couldnt afford the gibson one thats been on ebay for the past year at 3grand hahaha. has anyone had any experience with these??
 20. am out of this, seems a bit expensive for an online tutorial.
 21. ok so this aint shifting i see,,,,,,,make me an offer. would swap for basses, amp heads or 4x10hlf
 22. if you seen my other add about my ampeg gear you will know I nearly had to get rid of it, im now keeping the ampeg gear with the intentions of selling this combo. £250 seals the deal baby. As these combos go for over 400bucks this is a sweet deal so first come.......well,,,,,,,,,,,gets it!!!
