3. hey all im looking to get a switch on my bootsy pedal, hoping someone in the glasgow area could have a look at it. if you know of anyone that can repair such things then please get in touch
 4. probably best stick this in the for sale section mate.
 5. Hey all, just wondering if anyone would consider a swap. Im looking for a 300-400watt head ideally with a tube or 2 in it. The head has been gigged once and is in perfect working condition and appearance. The only reason im considering this swap as my cab is rated at 400watts at 4ohmes so scared incase i blow it to bits hahaha. So if you have anything your looking to swap and get a bit more wattage then please pm me dudes. This head is not for sale as I think its the mutts nutz,im just hoping for something that wont ruin my cab. an amp that goes to 2ohmes with an output of 800watts would be amazing (cash can be parted with). Keep in mind its xmas and miracles can happen;-) cheers Steven
 6.
Doesn't apply to trades
fine well just the sales side of the thread then!!
 7. your a lucky man, these basses will be the last bass a man (or woman) ever need. I love mine to bits and hope you appreciate this wonderful gift that your family have givern you. I assume you asked for this specific bass as its not the normal bass a person would be given as a gift of plus the hefty price tag would put off even the most devoted spouse
 8. if i can pick one up 2nd hand i will def give it a punt. but like all wahs and fuzz thats for guitar i dont want to lose any bottom end
 9. hey there dude, you have to be more specific with sales and trades http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=71363
 10.
Thanks for the comments fellas, hard to believe that it's 14 years old!! It really is mint. I feel bad now
14years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought these basses were brand new and on sale in 2006!!
 11.
Paypal
if you feel you are being ripped off and the guy doesnt hold up his end of the deal then get onto paypal and raise a dispute with them, you should definelty get a result that way
 12. keep the bass and get rid of something else, these basses are the mutts nutts and shouldnt ever be sold on. I nearly did it but thankfully the good good people of BC stood up and showed me the light. If you still decide to sell then good luck with the sale amazing bass dudes, I highly recommend
 13.
loved my 3pro, however does not compare to my v4! With the money you have available, I would be tempted to shop about making a valve amp priority. My 220w v4 is far, far louder than my ex 3pro and louder than most other amps! If its ampeg your determined to own then might I suggest checking out an SVT Classic. andy
i was wondering how long before andy jumped at this post hahahaha. hope all is well matey. I can promote the 4x10hlf as an amazing cab dude, plenty of bottom end and top too. However if a 6x10 is an option then i would suggest this as the best option as it will give you the sound you want plus not too difficult to shift about.
 14.
You don't need to apply a lot of pressure-if any- on the string when you are resting the thumb on it. If the string is touching the pickup poles,it sounds like you need to be a little lighter with your thumb- I've never had that problem.
i know where im going wrong, just a case of being more gentle.
 15. i started my first band this year and started gigging around june. since then i have now had the amazing experience of 6 gigs. its an amazing feeling but i think 1 a month enough for me due to my job and family, its nice getting a few quid now and again but the mortgage comes first hahaha
 16. how did you pay if you dont mind me asking?
 17.
Basically, the original idea for the 'thumb' rest was to hook your fingers underneath it and pluck the strings with your thumb at the end of the fingerboard. I've never needed to use a thumb rest-i use the my thumb as a moveable anchor, and rest it on either the pickup or on the strings.
thats my M.O too. just hate it when i rest my thumb on my stings and they touch the pickup hahaha, not a pleasant sound!!!!!!!!!!
 18.
Well the guy has got back to me..... Claims he did post it last week... still nothing here yet He's offered a refund if it doesn't show.... I'll give it a bit longer what with xmas & all...
RED ALERT RED ALERT
 19. my preference like so many know is the fender Jaguar. although these are out of the 400note budget I would suggest checking about for a second hand one. these basses are everything you need in a bass, with the pre-amp you get everything from high twang to low grunt....hope you keep it in mind as an option. I may be a bit bias however I have played various basses and I think this is an amazing all rounder plus they look amazing hahahaha
 20.
I've had a similar experience too many years ago. I don't drink either, but I've been in bands where people do, and it does affect their performance.
theres also the fact that i you do have a drink then you may have to leave your gear behind and pick it up the next day, now im not saying i dont trust the places a play, BUT......................... So i usually have a pint o cider at start of night after setting up all the gear then once thats gone its either energy drinks or irn-bru. after gig i am first one packed up and im usually in the house for 1ish in ma jimmy jams having a cuppo tea ROCK 'N' ROLL BABY YEAH
 21.
Hugs
hahahahaha everyone now, lets make this boy feel welcome, hugs all round hahahaha
 22.
Hello, I am Nettson as some of you may know me as. I don't feel like giving out a big introduction at the moment, so for now, I shall say just a "Hello" to all, so now all of you do me a favor and start "welcoming" me.
a wee bit needy, but hello do you need a hug?
 23.
I use them. My P-basses all have ashtrays so I can't rest on the pick up. I like the retro look of the covers & my oldest P-bass had rust on the original pickup after literally hundreds of gigs. If you see the thumb rest below the strings this was on earlier models to rest your fingers & play with your thumb.
and the world is right again hahahahaha cheers burrito
