Ok so that time has came again (this roughly happens once a year) that I may be looking to trade my Fender Jaguar. I have loved this bass from the start but this time around I am looking to trade it as my Rickenbacker is the only bass I have been playing for the last year and my Jag only sees home noodling time and even that is limited. So this bass is basically up for trade for a Fender 51R. Pics of bass can be found here.. http://basschat.co.u...__munkonthehill I am sure a few of my friends on here will let you know that I take amazing care of my gear and this bass is in 9.9 out of 10 condition. I have done many transactions on here so you can also check out my feedback section too. Just to let you know though folks that this trade may not be open for long (infact it may be over once I sober up from last nights Port drinking). So let me know what you think folks and get in touch. (Let the flood of abuse start regarding me getting rid of the love of my life,,,,,I expect nothing less ) Cheers Steven

even though I have amps in both comfy rooms I mainly rehearse through my irig via my iphone. Very rarely would I get to crank either amp. Which begs the question.......What the f*** is the point in staying in a detached bungalow if you can get noisey???? -
awesome, I doubt I would have found that. Its like a mix of a les paul and a burns bison. As much as I like the bass and the sound,,,the price tags of 4grand upwards means it will be a never ever bass for me.

Hola folks, My wee band are covering this little ditty and my singer said it HAS to be this version. So no issues covering it but m main problem is trying to work out Ronnies bass.

I have a line6 lowdown in the livingroom usually with a bass kicking about too. My Orange rig sits in my spare room known as 'daddys room' where it has a pc, swords, nunchuks and the usual boys toys hahaha. I dont understand why folk are happy to show off their basses and yet dont show the amps the same respect. Yes, they are a tool, however so is the bass if you want to look at it like that. I love the look of the Orange rig and if I can im gonna try get it into the livingroom on a permanent basses....fingers crossed. -
i bought one of these on a whim. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/119897-dha-vt1-di-drive/page__p__1134225__hl__dha__fromsearch__1#entry1134225 This pedal does everyting from slight tube warmth to all out Motorhead distortion and everywhere inbetween. Buy safe with DHA as his pedals rock.

i doubt he has it down to memory. Just cos thats the way he plays it in the recording doesnt mean its the way he plays it every time. Get the crux of the tune, learn a few of the fills and just adlib from there matey.
-
hahaha i wouldnt have it any other way
-
surely this is the basschat equivalent of facebooks 'fraped'.
-
hahahahahahaha thanks (I think ) BRING ON THE MADNESS
-
oh this is horrible mate. Hope they get the bastards and retrieve your basses. Did they get much more from the house?

Combo recommendations please. Budget of ~£200
munkonthehill replied to d4tux's topic in Amps and Cabs
Hi, I've recently made the swap to bass and I'm in desperate need of an amp! My current setup is to play my battered 80's Tokai LBX60 Bass --> Pod XT (with Bass Pack) --> 2 x Fostex PM0.5 Monitors Suffice to say my bass sound is lacking and isn't easily portable I'm currently playing in a Blues/Rock band and struggling to be heard over the 2 guitarists; one with a 60W tube amp, one with a 100W solid-state. I have around £200 to spend, but can probably extend to £300 at a push. The only real "must have" is to be loud enough for rehearsals/small venues and small//lightweight enough to get approval from the Mrs I've been looking at: - Ashdown EB12-180 and EB15-180 - Hartke A100 - H&K BassKick 100 - Line 6 LD175 - Fender Rumble 150 Having researched this quite a bit over the last few days I've started staring enviously at combos that are way out of my budget!!! So I'd really appreciate some recommendations as I have no idea who the best "budget" bass amp manufacturers are and what size amp I need to be "loud enough" - some sites recommend 100W, others 200-300W! Thanks!
To be safe regarding headroom I wouldnt gig with less than 300watts. Check the for sale section of this forum im sure you will find plenty to chose from. I dont think you would go wrong with an ashdown 4x10 combo. It will be loud enough, its not wicked heavy and once you have it then you can wok fom there to seeing what you like or want :-) -

I dont blame you for wanting a Rickenbacker. Once I finally got one my bass gass was gone. Since I got my Orange rig, my amp gas has gone. Happy days indeed. Also, a tad OT, but where did you get your avatar from?
-
I suppose it doesnt matter about the insurance or the money if your attached to it buddy. I feel for your loss and I pray for their haste return.
-
Oh he has a lot to answer for Matt! wait till we make him drink hunners a booze on the Saturday night! That will teach him.
-
does the car have insurance or do you have insurance for the bass?
-
Oi Perry, theres still seems to be a discrepancy in the gear section of that site!!!!

Get one of these if you have the chance..... I was holding out for a pedal that will do valve and O/D soundings that has the DI incase I need it. When this came up for sale I jumped at it. I use it at every rehearsal and any stage time I get. I couldnt imagine not having it at hand now.
