    To be a bit more serious, this was/is a problem with the big guitar rigs of the past when an affulent father would buy a 100W Marshall Head with 2 4x12s for his son. Then would come the complaint that the amp was noisy compared to his Leak HiFi amp. So, not to put too fine a point on it, the SVT range were desiggned to drive cabs that have a limited HF response (like your 15s and the Ampeg Fridges). The SVT 7 Pro has an awful lot of 4580 op amps and the cumulatuve noise of those in addition to the design itself, could be the problem. Agedhorse would probably call me out on that and I woud bow to his superior knowledge. I must say that I have used Ashdown, Bugera, GK amps with tweetered cabs over the years and never had a probelm with noise/hiss.

    I think an email to Ashdown would be a good idea. Flashing LEDs do not in themselves usually cause Audio noise. i don’t have an RM, rather a Retroglide 800 and that only flashes a pale yellow.

    The 6.1% figure is for Food inflation in the UK I believe as the RPI and CPI are both other 10% and have been for months.

    I think the Value Brands have increased more in percentage terms. If you go down to Value form Branded, the cost is lower but if the value is 50% higher than a year ago, thosethat have always bought Value will see a massive rise. It is why they often say that inflation hits the poorest hardest.

    I should add that at well over 6ft, I find the centre handle fine. However I do appreciate side handles when putting a PA cab onto a speaker stand.

    Firstly the Bridge/Jass pickup is a hum bucket so is silent. The P pickup is more balanced, less low end and in some places less muddy than the stock pickup. The only downside is the J pup is lower output. However that has been the case on every P/J I have tried. I also put Gotoh Res-O-Lite machine heads on to reduce the weight. It now comes in at 3.8Kg.

    The problem my well be the rapid change in DC , effectively a low frequenct AC signal, albeit of short duration.

    Strange, you get a linear sound from a logarithmic or nonlinear pot.

    Yes the Comply tips have a long recover time and are easy to fit. The video for the Aliexpress ones suggest a similar slow return to sizw. I have ordered a mixed pack to try.

    I have tried Comply tips and IMHO they are a cut above other tips, whether memory foam, silicon or rubber. whether the compete with a custom mould I cannot say. I seem to remembre buying a trial pack with S,M and L sizes. However I cannot remember which size I settled on.

    Without wading through the whole thread, Is there a decent 32" bass that will not break the bank? Say up to £300?

    Probably safe enough electrically but that mix of pedals does really need a true isolated supply. I am all for saving money whn I can, but in reality if a power supply costs less than £80 it probab;y is not truly isolated. I should add that many supplies say they have isolated suplies but they often mean that they have their own regulator/short circuit protection on each output. That is nice to have but on a truly isolated supply, each output is not elecctrically connected in any way to any of its neighbours. Also be aware of what power is required by each pedal. Digital pedals often take a lot more power, needing more voltage (V) and current (mA) than the traditional 9V Boss type pedal.

    So they took some cues from the Japanese Arias made by Matsumoko. SamickI make some nice basses by the way.

    The headstock and truss rod cover suggests Matsumoku, so early 80s I woiuld guess but I coild be way wrong as some things are not typical form Matsumoku. The P pup is ins a strange place.

    I rarely use the back straps and look for a bag that can either pack the straps away or remove them altogether.

    I would be interested to hear from one of our resident experts, I know @stevie have spent thosands of hours auditioning horn and compression drivers and i seem to remember that thw wrong horn can annihilate even the best compression driver. However according to @Phil Starr(I hope I am not mis-qouting him here) the crossover point is the cricial bit. 700Hz on the 732 against 1800Hz on the 915. The 1000-3000 KHz region is the critical area for vocals, especially female vocals and a goo design woill trt to crossover below that.
