  1. Thanks for the info. The audio on the cameras will be used for timing only. The main audio will be recorded via the digital mixer. I will try sending the output to one of the cameras but it is a long unbalanced lead so there may be issues? As fot post production, is OBS any good?
  2. Do you record every gig? I can get two of the Q2ns for about the same cost as a decent camcorder, although that would be more versatile for other uses.
  3. I need to play around with it a bit more, but I think the iOS app will be a big help for me. Having some control off the floor is a bonus.
  4. You need to re-evaluate what you are trying to achieve. Make sure the sound you are after is one that will sit in the mix well. Lots of high-end does not.
  5. Are you using more than one H4n? I have to be honest, my brain is scrambled trying to imagine what you and @Silvia Bluejayare telling me.
  6. Thanks for that. I will order a new camcorder. I have one, but it is not ideal, It's a Full HD one. I will order either the HC-VX1EB-K or the HC-VXF1EB-K. Then I can do a two camera shoot with both locked off. The HC-VX1EB-K has an external mic input, but I can also record the audio separately. Can you elaborate on how you do the audio recording?
  7. Why didn’t Ibthinknof that.
  8. If you click on the AUX button you will be offered all the aux bus sliders and there is a pre post toggle at the bottom. I should add that the UI12 has only two Aux buses as standard, but you can reassign the headphone socket as Aux 3 & 4
  9. Good shout. Click on the channel Name at the bottom of the screen, then select EFX at the top of the next one. You can then see the amount of reverb, delay, chorus or rooms assigned to your channel. The easy way is to mute them all. I will post an image when I have cleared some crap out.
  10. My Sire M2 is great, or at least is becoming great. I have changed the machine heads for Hipshots and will soon put Kent Armstrong Claymore soap bars in. The final change I would like to make is to put larger, possible glow-in-th-dark dots on the side of the fingerboard. You might ask why? When I change from my Fender 21 fret to the M2 24 fret, they are positioned differently, and I cannot always locate the correct starting point. I know I should be able too, but I sometimes screw up when tired. So is it easy and do the glow-in-th-dark dots work?
  11. Yes, the Custom ones are too expensive, at least for this bass, but the stock claymores (ironically not in stock at the moment) look great and work out about £140 per pair I was hoping for closer to £100, but that's life. The Custom ones would be about £300. Out of interest, I paid, £260ish new for the bass and then added Hipshot machine heads, bought on here for £60. So by the time I add the new pups, the bass will have cost £460. However, the neck is superb, and the only other addition might be better side dots.
  12. If you need a tech, I know Multicare in Leeds service mamy amps.
  13. In general electromechanical components, switches, relays and even Jack sockets are less reliable than pure electronic devices like transistors an electronic switches. thirty year old relays, switches and jacks may well have reached the end of their lives, but are replaceable.
  14. Those are just about doable. I remember when Kent was based over here and was making custom pickups.
  15. Of only I Warr not a million miles away… well a few hundred. GLWTS
  16. I need to get some good photos and videos of the band. I know that the latest DSLR cameras do good video recording as well as supermen still but as far as I can see, the have limited video run time. Is this true? Secondly Which option would work well under the far from adequate gig lighting we use? please keep your answers gerberuc an not brandy specific. As a former Panasonic employee, I get a gear discount so it will be a choice between Panasonic LUMIX or Camcorder.
  17. TC and Turbosound are both Music Tribe (Behringer) brands.
  18. I want to try some other pickups in my Sire Marcus Miller M2. It is a £300 bass, so many of the usual suspects are out of the question. I will not put £300 pickup sets in a £300 bass.
  19. Yes, but apart from some of the finest contemporary music of the last 50 odd years?
  20. My old guitarist used to say “One bum note is a mistake, two is jazz”. So I suppose jazz guitarists make more mistakes. As for the pentatonic scale, has any music of note been written using any other?
  21. It sounds like Alex has done a good job of balancing the drivers.
  22. My point was that it would need a lot of tinkering to get it right. I was not implying that Ales just plonked a Piezo in with a resistor, like as many manufacturers do.
  23. Markbass cabs are quite coloured (voiced if you like) it is a bit of a marmite sound. When we rand cab shoot-outs at the SW bass bash, one year the MB was top, the second year it came bottom. The main thing is that it works for you.
