  1. To everyone be that spoke to me about cables, Please send me a PM. I was coming down with a bug yesterday and drove 2 hours on about 6 hours sleep so I was not quite there.
  2. That was mine. It was all wrong, designed to be same size as my After Eighty (the modified Ashdown After Eight). It is far from ideal dimensions and neither Phil or I expected great things from it. Suffice to say we were pleasantly surprised. We will put the dimensions On the first some point. It was made with 18mm ply and could easily go down to 15or maybe 12mm?
  3. I used to work for Panasonic Broadcast, got to love those ******* Lemo connectors. I tried using Amphenol for guitar cables, but the good ones had a horrible cable retention systems that, to my mind, was not ideal. There were also as expensive as Neutrik. HiCon are OK, but again the range varies from superb to cheap and nasty.
  4. If it is the power section and based upon ICEPower modules, I have a couple I could let you have for a small fee. I agree with @basstoneit is a shame that some companies do not support third party service. I should add that most of the British based amp makers are good.
  5. I have been one of @stevie’s Guinea 🐷🐷 and I have to say that these are a few steps on from the DIY designs. No babies were thrown out with the bath water but the tweaks, changes and hundreds of hours spent in development, mean these are special cabinets. They are genuinely hand built with many of the components designed and made in-house. Suffice to say that my BC112 MK3 will soon be retired and repurposed.
  6. It all depends on how money points we measure but no more than 10 minutes per amp.
  7. I think @Phil Starrmight have something to say, but I would like to hear a K12.2.
  8. We were hoping someone would bring an Elf to try with the 8" cab.
  9. Agreed, it is a skill worth developing and makes life easier all round. Again I agree, Sommer, Klotz or Mogami. Van Damme guitar cable has let me down several times over the years, so I never use it. Getting boring, but in general I agree. There are some good plugs made by others, but few have the quality range that Neutrik have. I also like many of Neutrik's budget range, Rean. Other hook and loop systems are available. I have Velcro on all my cables and put them on all the longer cables, I sold. I think I will offer it as a no cost option in future. Or 2 or 3. Happy to make them for you… On a serious point, I have been thinking about doing a thread on cables and connectors. It will have to wait until after the SW Bass Bash.
  10. Getting there. I am almost as excited by this as my own builds.
  11. A good shout Mike, our singer and some friends are all very infectious at the moment.
  12. The thing to remember is that the null points on a Super Cardioid are not directly behind as with an SM58 or other cardioid mic. They are off to the side. So if you are using monitors, you may need to move them off to one side.
  13. I can't quite squeeze into an XL and vanity says no to an XXXL, I mean I am barely skin and bones.
  14. Singer, spend money? Never thought I would see those words in the same sentence.
  15. When I auditioned for my current band, I walked in with my Class D Head and Basschat 112 speaker. "You will need more than that for a gig". Needd less to say that all the previous bassists had head height stacks, Anyway I got the job and have never had a complaint that I was too quiet.
  16. Can you show some pics of the T Shirt design Mike, you never know I might buy another....
