SGC NANYO BASS COLLECTION................ NOW SOLD !!!!!!
Hi Ive got one of these Ive had it ages. I thought the bridge had been changed but yours is exactly the same as mine. The reason I suspected a bridge change is that I have 4 bass collections and the other 3 have a different style Gotoh bridge. My other 3 are active. I use the passive one for backup or outdoor gigs in the rain (like todays music festival). Ive thought about selling mine but you cannot get anything like the quality for the same money. skez
Thanx For the comments Skez. I also have the active version and the bridge is different on that too. These are excellent basses and I can't understand why they didn't stick around for long when they first went on sale. I have a USA Fender Jazz in my collection and to be honest this bass comes close playability wise and it is so light too. Only selling as I need the cash for other things. -

Obscure Musical Backwaters - The Great SGC Nanyo Thread
blunderthumbs replied to Happy Jack's topic in Bass Guitars
A quick update ... over four years after transferring this topic from Basschat's predecessor website, I've only gone and bought another SGC Nanyo Bass Collection (Made In Japan) with a serial number starting 95. I've been Bass Collection-free for the past three years but never quite got over them, kept hankering for another. This one really doesn't disappoint, an SB310 series factory fretless. Just as light and well-balanced as I remember, just as easy to play. It remains one of the biggest mysteries of modern bass-playing, IMHO, why these basses change hands for so little money.
Just picked up a SB110 with active electronics serial number is 000229. £130 +p/p I've read this thread all 11 pages and nobody mentions the SB110. I've also got an SB301 serial 26907 how do I date these from the serial numbers on them. They both have subtle differences, different Bridges, SGC on the pick ups in different places, angle of the jack socket and screws on the backplate in different positions. Any info would be helpfull. Fretless Bass Collection 4 string for £100
blunderthumbs replied to JamesSharpe's topic in Basses For Sale
Hi all. I am selling my japanese made Bass Collection fretless because I simply don't use it. I'm moving soon so just want it out the way - thus the most reasonable price of £100. It is active with, bass, treble, volume, and pickup selector pots The pickups are one Jazz type pickup at the bridge, and a P-bass pickup at the neck. It even has fret lines in the fretboard so you don't get lost ;-) Please see photos attached. All inquiries welcome. Pickup only from west London.
