4.
hi blunderthumbs i am new to this site and nevercorrosponded with anyone on this site,so if i am out of the norm please bare with me. iread that you have a 5 string jazz,up for sale, and you would consider an exchange for a frettless 4string. i have a frettless 4 string,it is an american bass built by pevey,in the usa, it is about 10 years old it has a few dinks on itin form of paintwork, but no damage to the body. the bass is of the Foundation series, ihave owned it from new.it has been gigged with my band,a few times but mainly stays home, unless i fancied a change, depending on the venue.,no pics of the bass at the moment sorry but if you are interestedi will try and get some on here for you.by the way it is the same colour sunburstas your jazz, everything is still original.the p/upsare pevey ferrole, soapbar style and they came fitted on the bass.i paid £350.00+/_at the time. if you are interested maybe we can talk. thank you for looking (Lucian)
Hello Lucian. I'm not really interested in a trade for your Peavey bass. I already have a Peavey milestone bass and don't really want another. Unless something that interests me comes up for trade I would rather hold out for a cash deal. I have got my eye on a really nice Bass collection which is for sale on this forum £180 so if I can sell mine I might make an offer on that one. Thanks for the offer though and good luck.
 5. If I could sell my J & D 5 string which is for sale on this forum I would definately be interested in this lovely bass.
 6.
Pretty nifty....But why does it have to be Sunburst?
AS you can see I also own a USA Fender Jazz and status s2 classic so this 5 string has a lot to live up to. It really is very well set up for a guitar of this low price Having a real wood ( Alder) body sets it apart from some of the budget basses available. The action is very low and the chunky solid metal bridge gives it that bit more sustain. I wouldn't be parting with it but I simply can't get to grips with wide necked basses. I have since bought a cheap Peavey milestone bass and strung it B E A D. this solves my problem hence this beauty is up for sale. It really is BRAND NEW, Never gigged, only used to practise at my home. Come on guys what do you want for £140??????
 7. Still no takers.!!!!!! Here is the full spec on this BARGAIN bass. www.jandd-guitars.com/jd-jb5.htm

 11. I would possibly consider trades on this. Maybe a fretless 4
 12.
Saw Jaco in the title and thought it might be fretless - but never mind Are you willing to post?
Yes will post. No case though at this price.

 14.
I've got a couple of these basses, both second-hand, and I think they're pretty good as they come: light weight, nice neck, well-balanced. Hardware isn't the best, but it's not crap either. As I've said on other threads, I had one of these and a Fender Aerodyne Jazz for a while, and I honestly couldn't say either sounded better than the other - except that the Peavey hummed less when recording, so in the end I sold the Fender and bought another Peavey (I like to have 2 basses so I can keep one in each location I regularly play). I paid about £50 each for mine, second-hand, including gigbags. At £35 you really can't go far wrong. I'd say, buy it and live with it for a while as is - it may surprise you. Just my 2p's worth.
I have Just purchased a Peavey Milestone iv for £30 off e bay. I have tuned it B E A D and I use it instead of my Five stringer as I dont get on too well with the wide neck associated with a five string bass. I have set it up with the action as low as it will go and put the b e a d strings on from a new five string set. It sounds cool and comfortable to play.
 15.
You aren't going to sell a 10k bass without pics.
I doubt anyone has a spare £10.000 in their purses in the present climate If they have I don't think it would be spent on a bass guitar pics or no pics.
 16.
the chances of buying one of these that hasnt been set up is very unlikley to be as good as yours, according to perfectly good guitars, he does alot and has excellent feedback
PM sent.
 17.
Are there any more on sale?
Just have to keep your eyes open on E bay. Or try the Distributor someone else mentioned on this forum.
 18.
That's a J&D Brothers, right? They're chinese made - distributed (for what that's worth) by PROEL over here.... Looks real neat for what you paid for it....
It is indeed a J & D brothers bass and I think It is made in China although it doesn't say anywhere on the bass where it is made. The action is comparable with basses that cost 5x as much cash and it sounds superb through an amp. It also has a real wood body( Alder ) Anyone who fancies a dable on a 5 stringer and doesn't want to part with a load of hard earned readies then I would recommend this bass any day. I also play A Status S2 Classic and a Usa Fender Jazz so this fiver has a lot to live up to.
 19.
Can someone post a link to something official about this proposal? I've never heard of it I work quite closely with licensing authorities. I'm a little suspicious.
If you sign the petition you will get an e mail from the government website confirming that you have signed. Go on, we all need to pass this on to all people who might be effected by this proposal. Not Just musos but people who enjoy live music and come and watch us play!!!
 20. Just bought this off E bay. £110. What a guitar for the money It has been set up by a guy called Perfectly good guitars in Manchester. The quality for a Jap instrument is superb.
