1. Mmm lovely! Have a "what time in the morning do you call this?" type bump.
2. +1 for the SR300. A proper bass at budget price and lovely neck!
3.
As you can tell by my name, I'm Jazz's all the way. I understand P's being a phenomenal breakthrough and used & loved widely but I really agree, how can someone love something so limited in sound and so ugly /:
Have you even seen the Precision Porn Thread? I agree the P looks more traditional than the Jazz but I don't know who you can say these are ugly -
I took delivery of a pair of Fender Tony Franklin basses from the US last week.
4. This is a "Is 9000 views = unique visitors or might I have accounted for at least 2,000 of them?" type bump.
5.
I'm totally having a bid on that
Let us all know what it is like if you are the lucky one!
6. Only two hours left on it....
7. Sega Mega Drive Bass Anyone?! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sega-Mega-Drive-Bass-Guitar-4-String-Full-Scale-/261388413533?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Guitars_CV&hash=item3cdbf6aa5d
8. Nice guitar - I love the crosshatch/basketweave effect of the wood grain!
9. To the top....Make me an offer, its going to waste otherwise...
10. Dunno how I took so long to find this! Great job and oddly appealing!
11. Before I had played any bass other than my dad's Warwick, I had my heart set on a Thunderbird too. Then I played an Ibanez sr300 and it was better to play than anything else I tried up to £500..
12. I got a TB10 for sale on here. It is dinky and sounds great when you consider how much it costs! I haven't used it for anything other than bass though.
13. Quick update...I have purchased a black Schaller bridge from basschatter umcoo..like this: Something I hadn't realised when I bought the bridge was that it is a 3 screw config which means I may be able to mount it in the exact same position as the current BBOT 5 screw style one with the broken screw head. If not it should mean that certainly, a smaller adjustment can be made than if it was a 5 screw! So I think I am ready to attempt the last phase of my build. A refin of the body. I quite like the 'none more black' look but there are a couple of blemishes on the black paintwork which, while not serious, do detract from what would otherwise be a reasonably nice looking bass. I think the next stage is to use a heat gun and get ride of the black paint and drill the new holes for the bridge. I am also planning to to do something a bit different for the finish so I will have to figure out how I can do that without 'losing' the screw holes for the bridge and scratchplate - or maybe I should just fill in the scratchplate screw holes and then re drill better ones (some of the screws have to go in wonky). Oh well - any help or comments appreciated as always and I will post up photos of my progress as I go.
14. Look forward to seeing you around!
15. Just purchased a Schaller bridge from Chris. A thoroughly nice chap and a pleasure to do business with. Good communication and speedy delivery = happy me!
16.

Dammit, I think my amp stack is faulty...
17. Perhaps it could be a Bass Porn thread for pics of peoples entire collections of basses rather than limited to a particular make/model/colour/state of fretting etc.. ? I'll start Left to Right - my modded Squier P, OLP MM3 5 String, Ibanez SR300. My mate's Fender Jazz Modern Player is creeping in on the left too!
18.
For balance. "What do those two knobs at the front do?" - "They sing and play guitar".
19. Anyone know what 'YMMV' means? I have seen it used in several posts and I don't know if it a musical thing or forum thing...
20.
A real Players bass =
A bit like 'a drivers car' - its a way that people use to describe something they have to make themselves sound discerning and informed.
