2. I've got the stadiums on my Jazz and they are great strings and i have just ordered Extra Slinky's for my Bb. I'm loving the stainless tone at the moment. Warm = Dull in my opinion.

8. Just a point, earlier you mentioned changing things around on the bridge. Did you put it back where it should be? the saddles need to be right in order for the notes to be in the right place on the neck.

13. I have thought about a jazz in black and maple but i didnt get on too well with the last one i had and i love the Bb sound and shape, they punch well above their weight in my opinion. I will have to have a word in the local shop.
14.
I take it Yamaha do not offer the combination of woods you're looking for?
No i have never seen one nor are they on any sites ive looked at, il see if i can get some quotes from a local luthier type dude.
15. Hello all Im going to treat myself to a new bass in the new year, im going to get a Yam Bb414 in black to compliment my active 614. The problem is i realy crave black and maple and i was wondering if it would be possible to change the rosewood board for maple? Does any one know if it can be done and roughly how much it may cost? Steve Imagine the black and maple with a badass and flats, mmmmmm nice.
16. I use Slinkys (Hybrids or Regulars) and i think they are great. No problems with unwanted noise and they bed in nicely.
17. Bass by Yamaha, Sofa by DFS both wipe clean nicely.
