1. That is a great bass, real solid sound across the board. Enjoy
2. Theo sold me his Bearfoot Blueberry. I'd been wanting one for ages and managed to buy his. Great comms throughout, the pedal arrive promptly and as described. Thanks again for the dark overdrive goodness.
3. I've replaced a 3-way 212 cab with a 3 way Fearless F112. It can pump out some serious sound and I've filled some rooms without PA support that I didn't think possible. The only caveat is you need a powerful amp, something like an GK MB800. I've toyed with getting a second made but haven't found the need yet.
4. I couldn't get on with the One 10 on DB. Too dark and not enough detail.
5. I used to use a Mesa Walkabout 12. Now I use seperate amp and speaker.

I like pie charts instead
8. You might have to pull some strings to make that happen....
9.
a mini VT1...... yet another good idea, thanks
+1 I use a Bob the Blender as just a valve stage at the beginning of the chain. A smaller version would be great. I like the orange paint schemes but not so much the white ones. Also, I noticed the boost switch on the pedal reacts differently with different basses. One bass will be smooth and warm with the boost off and a little harsher and firmer with it on, and another bass will react opposite with it being harsher with the boost off and warmer with it on. What might cause that?
10. How is the balance on this bass? Is it neck heavy at all?
11. Buy Beedster's Clarkson EUB. If I were nearer to him I would have bought that for quiet practice and better transport. At £200-250, what a deal
12. I got my clone from Dan too. He does nice work.
13. I have both. The MT is much more subtle. The FDeck seems to drop more bass than the MT even at it's lowest setting, but there is still plenty there. They both do a similar thing but with slightly different results.
14. Lee bought an East pre amp from me. Great comms, quick payment. Everything you could ask for Thanks for the easy deal.
15.
PM'd
Replied. SOLD pending payment
16. An early John East U-Retro Deluxe 4 knob onboard preamp with tone control. It has the two toggles for active/passive and a pickup switch that works in active and passive. First stack is vol/blend, second is bass/treble with pull for treble boost, third stack is mid freq control, fourth is the passive tone control. This was in my main five string bass for 10 years and performed flawlessly. They are great tone-shapers. As this is an early model, it isn't flat response when in active mode. Lovely sounding preamp with much control. Comes with chorme knobs. You'll need to download an installation guide from the East website as I can't find the original. £130 o.n.o. posted. No trades, thanks. SOLD now.
17. John East BTB onboard preamp with push/pull passive tone control. First stack is vol/blend, second stack is bass/treble with pull for treble boost, third is tone control that works in active and passive mode. It's also a push/pull that switches the preamp between active or passive. Comes with black knobs. I detached the battery clip when I installed it as I had a battery box on the bass but will include the clip. You'll need to download a wiring diagram as I can't find the original but it's a pretty striaght forward install as are most of John's preamps. £80 posted. No trades, thanks. Sold now.
18. I found the contour would help tame some active basses and take the edge off if you set it around 9 o'clock. And if you like that Sansamp scoop, just keep turning it clockwise and dial in more dirt from the valve.
