I just bought a single coil p bass pickup from Kev. Great comms and speedy delivery. Very easy to deal with and you can ensure an easy transaction. Thanks again Kev.
3. Congrats on the DB. On one hand it's great that you got a good deal. On the other, it's sad to see schools selling off their musical instruments. What will the children of the future use....
4. I have an Underwood sitting dormant (that's what they do, hibernate then come out every now again ) I'll find it and dig it out. I've never used it but got it from Beedster so I'm sure it works ok. I can send it to you to try out and see if it works for your situation. I also have a Hurley double paddle one that doesn't sound too bad either. PM me your contact details and address.
5. Wish I had the readies to take this back off your hands. As a previous owner I can attest to it's loveliness
6. Hi, do you know the exact model number for the Peavey 1505?
7.
Sounds like an awful lot of trouble for one semitone. Does it really make that much difference to the guitar sound? Is it worth it if the bass sounds worse then it did in standard tuning? Might it not be easier in the long run if your vocalists just practiced hitting the higher notes more?
+1 Also, what about a drop D tuning thingy for just the E string?
8.
But.......the high pass filter is set at 150HZ, so depending on how steep the slope is it could take away too much low end.
Might depend on the room. When we played big rooms, we told the sound guy to dump from about 180 downwards as a starting point to avoid major feedback issues. There always seemed to be quite a bit of low end left.
9.
I Know a guy whos had gaffa tape over a small seam split for about two years now. He's just lazy.
Ha Whatever you do, don't be tempted to fix it with normal wood glue or superglue.
10. This is a lush bass. Andy brought it 'round mine one day. It plays fantastically and just has so many tones available. Andy is a top chap as well so deal with confidence. Good luck with the sale.
11. I've tried this for front of house and it worked very well. Poor Man's Mic Setup
12.
What a fab gig. Great tunes and arrangements from the best! Too far away for me.
+1 When is the gig? Are there any rehearsals prior to the gig or just show up and play?
13. I'm sure I've asked this before, but where in the Northwest are you? Please forgive my crap memory
14.
CAPTION?
Time to lay down some bass...
15. Another happy victim Enjoy your journey, DB is the bomb.
16. I just purchased Chris' Zoom B3. Very easy and quick transaction. He even took the trouble to print out some very helpful info and included it with the unit. Thanks again fella.
17.
How did your removable neck work out? - looks like an Italian Bass?
It was Hungarian and the sides and back delaminated from being in the cellar too long . To be fair it was in a right state when I got it. Carved top was split and the seams were starting to pop off everywhere, I just helped it along. I never got around to fixing it all before it fell to pieces.
18.

I thought this looked familiar...that's the bass I took to pieces trying to create a removable neck DB. I recognise that green wall in the back ground! That was a right **** getting that neck off even with heat and warm water. The poor bass had a terminal scroll break so I thought I'd take it all apart. the table came off no probs but that neck was a bear.
19. Is the break a clean one? If so, you should be able to glue the whole thing back on, ensuring it's lined up correctly when you clamp it. Taking the FB off is more trouble that it's worth.
20. Is this a medium scale version?
21.
whatever else you try nothing will work like the Pro plat 2
Not necesarily true. I didn't have success with the PP2, but the Art Tube MP has always been a great tone, with several pickups. Yes the Pro Plat has more features but sometimes less is more. I've actually had a lot of success with an MXR80 of all things.
