1. Hi, is this 4 or 8 ohm and where are you located?
2. The Spiros will most likely last way longer than Innovations. Also, some use 4/4 sets on their 3/4 bass to decrease tension. I'm leaning towards Spiro weichs for my next setup after trying Honeys (which sounded great on my bass, thumpy but a little thin sounding on the G string), Evah weichs (nice clarity but not quite the volume) and the current set of Velvet Animas (complex, dark, loud and thumpy, yet lower tension). My elbow injury wont let me run the high action anymore.
3. Got a deal on some strings from Rich. Nice, easy, quick, smooth transaction. Thanks again.
4.
... when I recently bought my Crazy8 1x8" cab from the US,
Have you used your new cab in anger yet?
I would have thought that a Compact would be better at reproducing the full range of a DB than a Midget.
I had a compact when I was gigging DB, it turned out to be too big and too much lowend, even when trying to dial it out. It did ok for slab though. I'm still gigging the Walkabout for DB.
5. Congrats on the EUB, great stuff. Like Clarky mentioned, getting lessons will help you a great deal and your tutor might also be able to look the instrument up and down to make sure it's in good shape and they might also recommend some better strings. Depends on the tone you're after. Good luck and have fun.
6. What's the config of the ACG02 please?
7. Maybe I'll decorate the EUB case, it's small and shaped like a narrow tree.
8.
Got a link to it?
Sorry, I typed jazz instead of jag. Here's one at thomann
9. The short scale Squier jazz gets great reviews, 3 colours to choose from too . They come in around £200 or less.

Feedback-Psycoandy

Bought a nice Schaller 3D bridge of Andy. Just as described and a quick easy transaction. Thanks again, and my Bronco bass thanks you too
11. Those Tube MP's are good little units. We used them for all our acoustic sets with DB and AC guitar. The valve seemed to help manage feedback and volume. They work wonders for electric basses as well. I'd always thought the phase switch helped when using both a mic and pickup, but that phase switch seems to noticably alter a single input too.
12. Chris did some work on a Yamaha MB-3 Motion bass, a fret level and cavity shielding. This was done very well, he transformed the bass. Very nice chap and makes great basses too! I had a play on a few of their custom basses and they are wonderful sounding and easy to play. Thanks again Chris.
13.
Any chance of ETA's?
+1 A little comms goes a long way!
14. My mate has a P-MM version in green. Lovely sounding thing. Good luck with the sale.
15. Can I have 2 please Clarky.
16.
I use two of these stacked and they sound superb. Lovely warm sounds and a great combination. I had the GS112 with tweeter and bought a new NT to use with it. Result was brilliant. That cost me £400 on its own so that money for a pair is a real bargain. Best of luck with the sale.
Thanks, they do sound great stacked.
17. replied, thanks.
18. Thanks for the bump. How are the hands holding up?
19.
I learnt that I always need to wind my lead once around the tailpiece before I do anything else. I cannot count how many times that has saved me.
+1
20.
The internet is a funny old place isn't it? You message or e-mail someone and when you don't get a reply within minutes you assume all sorts of things...
I hope this doesn't sound unfavourable but it works both ways too. I totally understand Howard has loads of respect and for good reason. But, if you have many people waiting to hear from you, you might want to find a way to get in touch just to let people know. I don't mind hearing that something will take longer than expected. I have issues when I'm not told and don't hear anything other than grapevine.. Please don't crucify me for that statement.
21. Hi, what's the neck dimensions on this, nut width etc...
