1.
Latest..... The paint job is a custom one as requested by Sug. The final production models will be silkscreened and have an input and output LED VU meter, all the other features will be the same. There will be a blue backlight showing one of the five valves via the vents. The footswitch controls the compressor and Fx blender off and on as well as the Tuner mute. The colour of the LEDs matches the knobs which are different for different functions, i.e. pre-amp is red, blender yellow, etc. Two of these are still available at the lower cost to BC members. Dave
woah, nice
2. I'm bummed. My order has been cancelled because of credit card indescrepancies!! They keep saying my addresses don't match. I moved house two months ago and everything has been sorted with my bank and cc provider but it just aint working on their site. Kind of f*£cked off. I wanted to call Rondo to sort it but there is no phone number and that Kurt guy went a bit cold on me. Looks like no SX for Tom.
3.
I bought this a while ago and its only been out of the house twice!!! TBH Always travel by car and handle my guitar myself so its a bit of overkill. Cheers,
4. I just ordered one of these... I can't wait. I'm hoping it arrives before next Weds when I have a small tour in Denmark. I'm waiting for a Gotoh 201 to put on mine as well. Damn postal workers! I'll post the pics when it arrives and the mods are done.
5.
You are so right. It is about 5 mm higher than 1 rack unit. Quite strange.
Like the first Demeter preamps, 1.5 rack space.

Another Cab

Nice job there.
7. Gosh, this sounds nice. Can't wait to see how this turns out
8. I always bring a backup. I minute before the second set started at a theatre gig I was messing around with the drummer and playing with the vol off and 'pink' the g-string broke. I was glad I had my backup. I usually bring my Hohner cricket bat as backup, it's small and gets a good sound.
9. PM about MTD
10. The U-Retro Deluxe is great, especially with the passive tone control. I find that rolling off the treble on the preamp cuts too many mids before you get to the thumpy tone. With the passive tone control, you leave the treble as it is and roll of the highs using the tone control. Much more focused sound that way.
11. I use my Eymotic ER6 earplugs for several groups. I get a send from the monitor or main desk to my little Yamaha mixer and add the bass from my amp and blend as needed. This works well in my gigs because I don't really move around on stage. You'd want wireless if your moving around alot. It really is great because good IEM's block out the stage noise so you get a really nice clear mix at a very safe volume.
Hi Tom..How ya'doin...Sorry, you're too late; I traded for a gorgeous Jap Jazz 62 reissue which I really dig and is one of 3 or 4 that I don't imagine I'll ever sell................................................................................................ .................................................................................................... .................................................................................................... .................................................................................................... ........................................................Would still love a Vigier Passion 5 though
Good to see you back around mate, can't help with the Viger though
15. Do you know it the 35P and 35J magnets are blades or poles? Cheers,
16.
D'Addario EXL165 nickel roundwounds. (.045, .065, .085, .105). still in protective packaging. £10 inc P&P. I have a couple of sets of these. Cheers.
PM'd for a set of these if still available. Cheers,
17. Brilliant job. Those look superb. Getting me itchy to start my OT12's. Cheers,
18. I'll have that Yamaha with the EMG's I sold you back off you if you're retiring
19.
They also have quite a different neck, quite...
They are very playable and hang differently than P's and J's. I love playing my Ray but don't always like the tone. A P-Ray would be a great new axe. Cheers,
20. Hi, Have you had any issues at all with this amp? Is it all in good working condition, serviced etc...? Cheers,
21.
I guess it's all about moving air at bass frequencies and a 4 x 12 will move nearly twice as much air as a 2x 15 cabinet.
That's true
Also the more bass speakers you have next to eachother, the more sound you get per watt as they act together. Sorry 'bout the physics lesson, but it does work out in real life!
That isn't necessarily true. I'm sure someone will come along and point out the fact that speakers in a vertical array are far superior to speakers side by side. Cheers,
22. Build a BFM - sooo many different configs available. For the £600 you get you could build a O12 tallboy or O15 tallboy, or have Thumper on finnbass build you one.
23.
I won't get stressed if it doesn't sell cos it really is a lovely bass and I was thinking of putting a John East preamp in if I keep it.
Funny, I was going to suggest dropping in an East if you weren't happy with the tone. The Sterling with Nordstrand sounds like a winning combo though. Good luck with the sale. Cheers,
24. Hi, why you thinking of selling that beauty? Cheers
