  1. Admit it though. You were secretly hoping it was where the Borrowers lived….
  2. Agreed. It sounds like the work is going to take more effort than originally thought so every penny will count. Leave it running says I.
  3. I’m sure you are, Andy. It’s depressing when you think you have a plan and then discover that it’s not as easy as you thought. But, often, you then discover that there’s actually a better alternative. Or that you can still achieve the result you want but it’s just going to take a little longer, cost a little more. Whatever this is, there is always an answer. You will find it. And, more to the point, you have a few thousand more now than you had a week ago and access to the collective experience, knowledge and support of the BC community. If you need to organise a work party, you will not be short of volunteers. If you need technical support, someone here will know someone who can help. You’ll find a way to do this
  4. See? That’s what I’m on about. Helpful and supportive. Ptchah!
  5. I’m officially an old man which means that I’m legally obliged to be grumpy, miserable and sour. At my time of life the only real pleasure I’m allowed to have is the occasional satisfactory bowel movement (just wait, you’ll find out for yourself). Fortunately for me, the combined efforts of the government of the day, social media, the rest of the media and most people are sufficient that I don’t have to put any real effort into being a miserablist and can spend most of the day perfecting my harumph technique. But now you bloody lot come along with your selfless generosity to rally round one of your number who’s been let down by the organisations who are meant to support him and not only have you warmed the cockles of this cynical old bugger’s heart, you’ve brought a lump to his throat that no amount of Werthers Originals will shift. I’m supposed to be a misanthrope and do you know how hard that is when you lot of do-gooders insist on being kind, supportive and helpful? Thank Christ it’s not bloody Christmas is all I can say. At least there’s the Budget to look forward to and getting back to some proper grumbling. 😁
  6. I’m game. Give me half your house then 😂
  7. That’s how I got hit with the injunction in the first place….
  8. Interesting. I might be sending you a PM….. 😁
  9. Does this mean we all have a share in the bass? Like, it’s a communal asset now? Maybe we all get to take turns with it for a week? In which case I’ll be in my eighties before I get my hands on the thing…
  10. That’s a fair point - I haven’t watched the Beeb for donkeys’ 😁
  11. Might be worth trying them again? Telly bods love a back story and the delays, broken promises and such like are all the right kind of stuff to make good telly… Surely we have some folk on here with contacts?
  12. You utter, utter barstewards, the lot of you. I have been bawling like a bluddy gurl all the way through this thread. What’s that telly show where they do DIY stuff for folk? With that Nick Knowles. Somebody drop them an email, this sounds right up their street…. I need to go blow my nose now. Hayfever, that’s what it is. Hayfever.
  13. I’m sure you’re right but what I don’t understand is how he’s managing to game the figures. According to eBay, he’s sold 754 items. He’s received 2010 reviews (at least 1,256 of them for purchases he’s made, presumably) and all of them are positive. A quick look at the feedback from people who’ve purchased shows that they’re from multiple accounts, each with decent amounts of feedback so they seem legit. I can’t believe that nobody has given a bad review. But equally, I can’t believe that he’s gone to the trouble and expense of setting up and operating multiple eBay accounts just to pretend-buy from himself (and pay the associated fees) just to leave himself glowing feedback. The absence of 1 star reviews suggests that he’s fudging the figures somehow. I just don’t see how?
  14. I know. It’s helpful that he confirmed that, otherwise one might have thought it was being set up by some cack-handed amateur. 2000+ reviews, 100% positive - that’s the real achievement here.
  15. At least he’s up front about how ham-fisted he is with tools… “A new neck and almost new body, but my tools slipped a couple of times so there are some scratches. A full pro set up by me in progress but I spoiled the new high G string so that one is different.” I am filled with confidence that this has been through the hands of a master craftsman.
  16. Adam Black punch well above their weight. https://www.guitar.co.uk/adam-black-s-5-natural-acoustic-guitar?gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD_amzVk378lRbw81uwWhPnzKI5uC&gclid=CjwKCAjw1NK4BhAwEiwAVUHPUBDnHxsMM3BWVj9vZhpk5i2xy-m6FnISjlKs75CamR1lJl73NN7KaRoCFiMQAvD_BwE In that category there’s also Tanglewood which are also decent.
  17. I need to make some more room quickly so up for sale is the Eastman T386 semi-hollow that I bought from Guitar Galleries in Beverley a couple of years ago. Condition is immaculate and Eastman build quality is well known. Comes with original Eastman hard case. Priced to move quickly - available to try here in Nottingham or PM to discuss meet/drop-off options. Thanks for looking

Has anyone noticed how much brighter a place BC is when Young Teebs pops his head round the door? Has anyone thought what a happy chappy he is and how he lifts the mood with his cheeky manner? Thought not. Me neither.

Strickly speaking, I believe it all started when you and @Ricky 4000 hijacked @fleabag‘s thread about his PC. That was when you was banished to the DoI. Troublemaker.

Is that the Frankie Howard remake of The Manchurian Candidate?
