    I tend to know what's going on since I stopped drinking before shows, but I do remember a few gigs in the past where there was only a slim chance I'd be playing the same song as everybody else.

    I've got a HA2500 that I keep at my singer's house. As others have said it's a little bit too quiet to use as part of a gig rig, but it's a nice and clean-sounding amp. The "tube" preamp really does nothing interesting though. I agree that the HA3500 (or bigger) would be a much more useful head.

    On the old Jamiroquai stuff Zender used loads of compression. That was the most obvious thing about his sound, to me, it was heavily squished.

    I would avoid the Gator Pedal Totes if I were you. They are *heavy* and they provide next to no protection for your pedals.

    Being thick I've never heard of Paul Chambers, but good luck! Hey, maybe I need a book about him. Edit: Quick glance shows I've heard a lot of the recordings he was on. Now I feel really ignorant for not knowing who he is...

    £50 seems a fair price but I dispute your claim that Richard Stilgoe has never gigged. I saw him play and sing the theme tune to Finders Keepers every week with his Casio keyboard. PM me when you're selling Suzie Dent.

You can probably imagine what's coming next: I produce a ton of smoke, step away from the smoke machine with my foot snagged on the mains cable and pull my amp's plug out of the wall. Would've been easier to plug it back in if I hadn't just filled the stage with smoke...
