1.
Thats one thing that worries me about winning with a low bid, someone refusing to let something go.
Well thanks to more strokes of genius from ebay, the seller can no longer leave negative feedback, so you (as the buyer) leave negative feedback saying “this guy is a dick, he’s too tight to use a reserve and too cheap to let his stuff go for the price it finishes at”, or something to that extent Still a pain in the arse, but at least you know you've made him pay for it with no repercussions to you.
 2. 2 cloths (quite soft and fine material – soft T shirt material or like a soft shimmy type duster thing) - 1 for waxing and 1 for buffing. Apply conservatively and don’t get your pickups/bridge/control knobs covered in the stuff and watch out for getting it down the gaps between the pickup and wood etc. Once you’ve applied a thin layer of wax to the bass, leave it for a while (maybe 10 mins, maybe 20 mins, but I wouldn’t leave it longer than that because the wax has a tendency to go hard and when it does this it doesn’t buff up as nicely). After you’ve left it for a little while, use the other ‘clean’ cloth to buff up the wood…job’s a gooden. I think it kind of goes without saying that you have to remove the strings in order to do a half decent job of it, but I thought I’d mention it anyway. ^That’s the way I do it anyway. I’m sure others have their own way of doing it, but it’s not the be all and end all of looking after your Warwick to be honest – do it as little as twice a year if you like. 3. (original post was edited so I have removed the quote) I’m not saying I disagree, but why couldn’t you have PM’d that info to the OP?
 4.
Finally got a reply to my lengthy email today. Someone must have really thought long and hard about the reply. It read... "Your order did get processed ,I assure you" That's it! The entire response simply cut and pasted. He didn't even bother to attempt putting the comma and space in the right order! If you're ever thinking about ordering anything from this company, DON'T!
They obviously aren’t taking it seriously or really give a sh*t that they’re going to have a credit card company asking for an explanation as to why they’ve been utterly incompetent dealing with a £400 order for one of their customers. Bad days when your company makes the Bass Cellar customer service look good…
 5. Out of curiosity (curiosity killed the cat…), why are you selling?
 6.
im really quite tempted by this actually, more i look at it... (imagine with a status neck..... ), where are you?
Bollocks to a Status neck mate, the birdseye maple is the only reason I would buy this bass because it looks so damn sexy
 7.
I see Warwick get a lot of stick on here, why is that. When I bought a Warwick two years ago the good folk on here said it was a superb buy, and it seemed to my novice hands to be a wonderful guitar. why are they so much out of favour?
They’re not out of favour with me I think they're the mutt’s nuts and I'll deck anyone that disagrees...
 8. I turned up to a gig once where I had been told by our drummer that I shouldn’t bring an amp/rig as the promoter was insistent that he would provide all the backline in order to save on backstage space and time loss during changeovers etc (we’ve all heard that sh*t before)… Anyway, I stroll in about 20mins before the first band meant to be on and the promoter comes up to me and says “you didn’t bring your rig by any chance mate?”, and I kind of give him a “errr…you wot?” sort of response…basically the “backline” consisted of a 30W Marshall Valve State guitar thing and a 50W Peavey bass combo. I wasn’t impressed and didn’t have time to get my own amp, so I had it at ear level and totally cranked to 11. The monitors were sh*t as well so all I could hear all gig was the drummer and a very faint bass sound. apparently it sounded a bit better out front but I think I could safely say it was the worse on-stage sound I’ve ever had. Realistically I wouldn’t gig with anything less than 300W – It’s not all about the volume, it’s also about the headroom.
 9.
Good to see my old Stingray in safe hands!
+1 (I'm the original owner from new BTW)
 10. I don’t think you're gonna get anyone bidding for anything at anywhere near it's value with 6 days left to run...schoolboy error if they did.
 11.
PS. Thank God it was Spurs yesterday...
you can trust Spurs to bend over and take it at the moment, worst start in how many years? Over 50 I think… (sorry to the OP for going off topic, but Pompey related issues are always on topic for some ...I've never owned a blue bass though )
 12. Don’t bother emailing again if they’re not responding - Next time you phone them up (I’d suggest tomorrow) tell them that you’re royally f***ed off with their incompetence and that you’re giving them the chance to cancel the order right now before you take it to your credit card company to deal with and don’t let them put the phone down on you until they can confirm that they have processed the refund and let them know that you will be checking this directly with the credit card company after you get off the phone…that’s what I’d do anyway, but then this sort of thing really gets on my tits as a consumer/customer Although this is obviously depending on being able to get the parts you need from elsewhere. If you can’t get them elsewhere then you’re in a catch 22 situation. I've had stuff turn up 4 or 5 months after I've ordered it before and I'd forgotten that I'd actually ordered it - this was small stuff though like CDs and DVDs from play.com. When there was the Royal Mail strike last year, some stuff that I had ordered from Strings Direct got lost in the post. They replaced it within the week and completely took care of the claim against the Royal Mail for the lost goods to minimise my inconvenience - now that was a good mail order service
 13.
It'll be worth it when you get a nice job and can buy all the gear you want!
Only if you’ve done a course with actual job prospects (not like me ) Nice bass though and great price…just not my colour
after playing it extensivly over the weekend, and discovering my hand still isnt liking it and realising that the B is really never used as anything but an anchor, its back up. im more keen on seeing what trades i could be offered, again obviously 4 string orientated the prices are concrete, so if they are good for you, let your interest known thanks
I bet you change your mind by this time tomorrow – a gentleman’s bet mind you, I can’t afford to bet money I don’t have
 15. on ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=130258922946 :(:(
 16.
This will be useful to Deep Impact owners not getting the best from their pedal at the moment. I found mine sounded significantly better with the original power supply.
How did it sound better? (this isn’t a loaded question because I know that some power supplies are ‘noisy’ or aren’t as efficient with grounding the circuits than other power supplies, so it’s a genuine question and not just me being pedantic )
 17. Here’s a pic of it restrung – The pic doesn’t look as good as it does in the flesh, but then it’s always hard trying to take a pic that gives a true representation of how an instrument looks in real life. Good news on the neck situation as well – As ridiculous as it may sound, it seems to have straightened itself out. I think this could have something to do with it possibly being kept in a cold warehouse overnight when it was being shipped to me and the combination of me having the strings off it for 2 or 3 days whilst I was refinishing the body (no tension through the neck). Anyway, it’s had strings on it for the last 2 days and has been kept in a reasonably warm part of the house so I think this has sorted it out and it’s going to be fine I know wood can change shape depending on the temperature and humidity so I’d guess that this was just all it was, but just to be sure I’ll be keeping a close eye on it for the next couple of weeks.
 18. ahh don’t get a black pickguard! Sunburst Jazz + tortoiseshell pickguard = loveliness nice bass
 19.
I didn't realise that Warwick wax was so expensive. I have used Lord Sheratons beeswax balsam (£1.99 from Wilkinsons) but found it made the back of the neck a bit draggy even after a good buff. Now I have started using Briwax original clear beeswax and was really pleased with the results. I first used it on a maple mighty mite (unfinished) neck and was suprised how quick the neck felt after.
I never wax the neck of my basses because of the sticky feeling it leaves even after being buffed up, but I might give that Briwac Original Clear stuff a go if you’re recommending it. I’ve only ever used the Warwick beeswax BTW – not brave enough to try anything else
 20. http://www.pianocoversonline.co.uk/origina...wax-p-5501.html You don’t have to use specifically the Warwick beeswax though. Other people on here use beeswax for furniture and apparently it works just as well.
 21. That is nice, reminds me of a Ltd run of Warwick Corvette Jazzman basses. I’ve got those EMGs in my SSI and they sound great
 22.
I'm doing this the wrong way round not to mention shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted, however, I've just bought a second hand Warwick Corvette Standard 5 in ash with tweaked electonics and a gig bag for £580.00.
I picked up an SSII in a full Warwick aluminium flightcase last week for £700
 23.
how much for shipping to the netherlands?
Not a clue mate, and I wouldn’t even know where to start looking for a courier that ships over there. If you can point me in the direction of a delivery service that’s gonna be able to accommodate this then I’ll have no problem sorting out a quote and shipping it over to you for £65 + the delivery. Cheers mate
