Power banks?
Those bricks are just daisy chains in a box which take up space on your board. I've got one of these which is tiny. Had no problems with noise or anything.
ahh man - good link I was trying to find that site for ages cos i forgot what it was called, but yeah that's the one that I use.
  2.
looking forward to pics
+1
  3.
Cool for you ..but sorry for my ignorance , what's a SSII ??, Status maybe or spector , the last chinese nuclear missile , ??
sorry for my vagueness – Warwick Streamer Stage II. I was actually looking at some different Jazz basses before it came available, but none quite as nice as yours though. Good luck with the sale, I’m sure you won’t have to wait around too long for a buyer for an instrument as nice as this – GAS is rife in these parts
  4. That sounds amazing…but I’ve just shelled out for a SSII
  5.
Pics are on the attached thread (hope you don't mind Ben!), as I can't download at the moment.
No worries at all mate Just to add my 2 pence worth – This is a great multi effects pedal that is built like a tank and is in amazing condition. Paul is also a top bloke to deal with so buy with confidence
  6. ooo Matron, what a lovely pair you have there Nothing compares to “The Sound of Wood”! (IMO) Really glad you’re enjoying the diversity of the 2 and the different feel/sound that the BO can offer…I never realised how different the body shape was though! Crazy! Hopefully your back can survive a 2 hour set now
  7.
Had Dark Side Of The Moon on all week for some reason
I've had WYWH on for the same reasons...

    Power banks?

Yeah I've got one of those. Bulky. Not flashy; Does what it says on the tin. Just a bit of a pain in the arse cos it's bulky. In all honesty the leads it comes with aren't really long enough for what i need it for. I'd offer to sell you mine but realistically it's not worth enough to bother selling it 2nd hand and it's a useful backup to have anyway.
  9. When were the pics taken mate? I can’t see the Bad Ass II? Fantastic price with everything considered…

  13.
Have you ever been to a Bose shop with a cinema inside? I was given a very impressive demonstration. They may be over priced but there staff could teach guitar shops a thing or two about customer service, they gave me the full demonstration because i was interested even though they knew I had no intention of buying.
All of what I've written below is just my very biased opinion so take it with a pinch of salt A friend of mine used to work for Bose in their Portsmouth (Gun Wharf) branch (no names mentioned for obvious reasons). He told me they were sh*t and why they are sh*t, and through looking into their products as research for aspects of my degree, I've be able to come to a reasoned conclusion about them and their products for myself. Yeah I’ve heard the demonstrations a few times, and in all honesty, I wasn’t really that impressed. It really did sound like a fairly cheap system to me. The lows weren’t that low (I’d be amazed if I heard anything below 30Hz) and horribly distorted, the highs weren’t defined/clear or crisp/sparkly and were also horribly distorted. The other people in there seemed impressed, but then I’d guess that they're used to a 50 quid PC World 5.1 system and they’ve never experienced anything that resembles quality in their own home. A big flaw that I can see in Bose's “Cube” speakers is that they’re not full range speakers, so how are they ever going to accurately reproduce the original audio? The bottom line is, "Don't believe the hype". Do believe the hype about the JL Audio home cinema subwoofers such as the Gotham though Bose sell incredibly poor performing home cinema/home audio gear in relation to what else is available to consumers on a similar financial level. Obviously this is a subjective comment so take it or leave it; it's just a reasoned opinion. I can’t knock their sales or marketing teams though…outstanding and impressive. 14.
Sorry Ben I didn't mean to sound snappy lol. Point taken, I was getting more at the look of the instrument though. Could hardly comment on the instrument itself as I've never played this model. I'm not slating Warwick either having owned a Rockbass & now a Thumb, always been fond of the things lol.
yeah sorry man, I didn’t mean to jump on you like that. I’ve got a bad habit of possibly going a bit over the top when I’m trying to get what I'm attempting to explain across to other people
Used to have one of these, the passive humbucker in mine sucked! Bought it for £270 in loot and sold it for just over £200. It's a very limited bass and always sounded like a budget P, not a patch on my Corvette with none of the trademark Warwick sound. The neck was lovely though but i couldn't get on with a 5 string Warwick neck. The cavity was big enough for a preamp though so i suppose it could be easily upgraded. I'd rather have a punt on a second hand Corvette for similar money tbh
That really surprises me. My 4 string version sounds like a good passive version of that classic Warwick sound. I owned a budget P before owning the Warwick and the step up in quality was the difference between an X Factor reject and a multi-platinum selling recording artist…incomparable. Deffo agree with you though about getting a decent Corvette Standard for this sort of cash, there’s usually a few around.
  15.
Amazing how many of the ex-SC/Reverb stock has turned up/will turn up for sale
It is a revelation, who would have guessed it? Looks like a nice bass though...if I were that way inclined
  16.
You know, I don't think there is an emoticon that shows me hitting my head off a brick wall. I guess this post will have to do. Mark
Print on A4 paper:
  17.
Alright then mate well that's through your personal experience, obviously mine is different from yours.
That’s cool man, obviously each to their own, but realistically you can’t really compare this to a Rockbass. The biggest difference (and one which is fundimental to the way it feels and plays) is the neck; there’s no way you can compare the neck on this Streamer Standard to the Rockbass necks. The neck on that is exactly the same as the ones on the 5 string Streamer LX (approx £1100) or the Streamer Jazzman (approx £1300) bolt on basses. It’s Rockbass money, but it aint a Rockbass, doesn’t feel/sound like a Rockbass either, but I guess “you pays your money, you takes your choice” etc… EDIT FOR TYPO...I'M USELESS!
  18. i thought you really loved this bass mate?
  19.
Sorry I mean't they are seen as Rockbasses tbh.
They are? Through personal experience I know this to be a very poor judgement.
  20.
Class lol Thats the coolest thing ever lol
haha you've got to change your avatar to that now, amazing
  21.
Seen those go cheap on Ebay before. Don't know if its the fact that they are basically Rockbasses.
I see the Rockbasses as the barstardised cousin of these – Same bridge and cheapish body, but nowhere near as nice a neck. The neck on this Streamer Standard is the same Ovangkol neck that is on all the newer bolt on basses...and of corse, it's "Made In Germany"
  22. I bought the 4 string version brand new for about that. It was my first Warwick and it's still great
  23.
This is what I like to call "smell the fart" bass playing
Very dapper. Special occasion?
  24. Wow! I'm all about the W, but that is a very nice piece of wood :brow:
