Thanks kiwi. The model number is massive - It's a Philips 21GR2554/05B, and from that I've just realised it's a 21" so I'd like to make that clear before anyone shows up to take it away and has a hissy fit that it's 3" smaller than I said it was and start talking about "misrepresentation" and try to sue my ass. Anyone fancy a trade for a 40” plasma? – 1080p or 720p, I’m not fussy. Actually, better make it a 37” cos a 40” would probably look ridiculous in my living room

Pretty much what it says on the tin. I don’t want/need it so anyone’s welcome to turn up at my house and take it away. Spec: CRT 24” It’s a Philips It’s…erm…..black …made in Belgium No remote control Little crack in the plastic where it fell off the TV stand (beer barrel – honest) in my old house – the mains cable was going behind the back of my massive CD storage unit and when it slipped off the stand it pulled over the storage unit as well…in slow motion I saw about 600 CDs that I love and adore get thrown all over the room, I almost cried. Damn this TV, I’ll be happy to get rid of it! I’ve not really got my salesman hat on have I It works well, and it’s got a pretty good picture Please take it away

I can't get my cam to work, but these are the settings; ...and it sounds great! Really dirty but smooth fuzz (IMO obviously). The attack is off and it’s on “DIST” mode with the drive @ 11 It’s all personal preference and personal opinions at the end of the day, but I think it’s possible to dial in an expensive sounding tone from this pedal when you compare it to ‘boutique’ pedals that sell for over £100. Bargain for 20 quid I think.
how though?? im guessing you use it with attack off, but all i get is a very dull fuzz sound with far too much high mids and just generally lofi sounding
give me 20 mins and I'll get a quick vid on youtube...although it might take an age for it to get validated or whatever is it that they do to it

I should have probably put this in here first - Awful pictures, I know I'm loving having a 50lb 600W rig though It's almost comically loud and powerful for the weight. BTW, this is my 3rd rig in as many months – It’s a keeper I think.

yeah the footswitch in mine is f***ed so i never use it for live stuff, but I've used it in the studio before because you can get some fantastic synthy fuzz sounds out of it - I think they're great (in a Tony the Tiger kind of way)

Third Auction for the Same 'Ray
Dubs replied to phil_the_bassist's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
how much has the bidding ended at before? maybe he won't sell for less than £700 (the asking price on Gumtree) so he's coming up with excuses not to sell? -
One of these - http://www.spider-engineering.co.uk/script...e+XLarge%5F3879 Brand new, never left the house. It’s just too big for me and taking up a lot of space, and to be honest I could really do with the cash. I’ve opened it and used a small bit of the crap Velcro stuff that comes free with it, that’s it. It’s in “As New” condition as if it’s just come out of the factory. It’s all packed up and ready to go…but if you reeeeeaaaaallly want pics and are genuinely interested then I’ll get it out to take some then pack it back up again. £75 POSTED or £65 COLLECTED NOW WITH PICS - ...and EVEN MORE PICS -
...some of the newer ones made were made in China or wherever
Vietnam I believe, and they've been receiving very mixed reviews. If I were in the market for another Ampeg head then I'd be looking at getting a used "Made In USA" rather than a new Asian one, fo’ sho’.

Ah I didn’t understand that at all, but it’s cleared it up for me at least. I thought that because it was in “The Marketplace” and it says “post YOUR ebay links here”, then I just assumed it meant that you could post links to your own auctions in there (not that I have done), but I know it generally gets used to share knowledge of auctions for really nice gear or to take the piss out of auctions for complete tat or to discuss scams etc. At least this has cleared up any confusion.

I run ProTools LE 7.3 on an AMD 3700+ machine with 2GB of Corsair RAM and Windows XP, and I’ve never had any issues, and I’ve maxed out the number of tracks a few times and run a lot of very demanding plug-ins (stereo TrueVerb, BFD, SuperTab delays etc…) and I’ve not encountered any problems at all, and my machine is practically ancient in comparison to new machines. Basically any new machine you buy will be able to run a powerful DAW as long as you have enough RAM – 2GB+. Personally I wouldn’t bother paying the premium for brand new technology because you know in 6 months it’s going to be half the price. My advice would be to get the Q6600 in an XP machine, that’s if you decide that quad core is the way you want to go.

Welcome to the forum mate. I’m not too hot on Fenders myself, but there are some very knowledgeable people on here who know bucket loads about Fenders and scams and stuff. Maybe if you post your problem in the “General Bass Discussion” sub-forum then it might get more notice, and if you post some pics of the things you’re describing then I think you’ll get some great responses that should clear things up for you.
