I’m developing Tinnitus quite badly from playing in ridiculously loud bands, wish I knew 5 years ago what it was doing to my ears…it’s only a downward spiral once you get it apparently. Trying to get on the NHS waiting list to see an ear specialist cos my GP is less than useless when it comes to ears, so who knows when I'll find out what's happening in my ears. I do love loud music though
man you don't like your headstocks do you? Also the worst i've done was to my tobias, i knocked it off the guitar stand by mistake and snapped half the front of the tuning peg off. I never got round to fixing it and surprisingly it still stays in tune perfectly.
yeah maybe i should stop shouting about breaking guitars... it's all rock and roll though

Bump for a great little combo. If you're interested but the price is too steep then give me a PM an offer and I will see about coming down a bit. I might be open to p/x on something but it would have to be something very tempting as I could really do with the money and I've already got a lot of 'stuff'.

good idea to buy in bulk, don't know why I didnt think of this myself? Gone are the days of buying £5 out of date batteries from the corner shop...

Sounds like a good solution (blocking bmp and tif). Realistically you could get a 1024x768 jpeg down to around 100k without losing a lot of the detail and not using any specialist software. Use Paint that comes free with Windows to open the file then re-save as a jpeg - think someone else also mentioned this...it’s a really simple solution but it does really work, and it’s fairly easy to crop and re-size the files too.

I can't really talk from experience because in my 23 years I've only heard a few valve amps but after hearing an Ampeg SVT-VR through an 8x10 I knew that I could no longer progress in my life without having that all valve warmth, so...I recently bought an Ampeg SVT-CL with SVT410-HLF cab from MB1 through this forum. It had to be done, a lot of money but well worth it. All I can really say is that you should get out there and hear as many all valve heads as you can to get a real idea of what's available/prices/and the kind of sound that valves will give you. A lot of people have very valid points and things to say about valve amps on this forum but just get out there and get a real idea of what they're like, or...take a gamble on something you can properly afford (I very much doubt you'll be disappointed). An important thing to remember is that a good cab will make an amazing difference. I've heard the same head through different cabs and the difference in sound is crazy - sounds like a completely different amp. Keep that in mind when auditioning anything. (didn't mean to write a bloody essay)

Bump and I think it's also worth mentioning a few other things about the Trace. It's got a green backlight on the head so you can see all the controls in pitch black - everything that's green in the picture illuminates. Great on-board dual band compression which I always have set at around the number 2 or 3 position. It's the 7210H GP7 version, not to be confused with the older series 6 7210 version without the horn. Found a pdf. of the manual - http://www.britishaudioservice.com/inst/7BAND.PDF It's got a cool LED traffic light system for setting the input gain; Green = More Gain, Amber = Thumbs Up, Red = Less Gain. I'm really milking this now...don't know what more I can say. I guess it's all going to be in that pdf. Good bit of British engineering this is...
Gibbo's are renowned for that though arn't they?
yeah, a guitarest in an old band dropped his on stage and the headstock literally dropped off. His own fault for being a guitarest

Carlsbro 1x15 Cab: Very rugged design, completely solid. I've only had this for less than a year from brand spanking new and in that time I’ve only taken it outside the house once for a gig. Other than that it's not even been plugged into the combo because with this plugged into the Trace, the SPL is ridiculous, so as for condition; it's mint. I've had it stored up against a wall and for some reason the carpet has bobbled up and frayed a bit (you can see it a bit from the side view), but this is not due to mistreatment so be confident of it's mechanical condition. Rated at 400W @ 8ohms. It's a 15" Eminence driver. 1 Speakon connection only. It came with a manual but due to disorganisation, I've lost it . £100...no? oh ok then, call it £80!!! I done this to my Warwick Streamer Standard in early 2004 when I was playing a few 80’s tribute gigs with my college on the Isle of Wight. I was significantly pissed and found a skateboard in a bush but I had my bass on my back in a gig bag, so I jumped on the skateboard and… I’d like to think I’ve learnt from my mistakes having acquired some considerably more expensive basses than a Streamer Standard (rrp £360ish). I managed to get it fixed for 50 quid in a local shop and it came back looking spotless. I couldn't believe it. This bass is now retired from playing and is tucked up nice and safe. It won't ever be getting sold because of emotional attachment (it was my first 'real' bass), but don't know if I'd be able to get anyone on here to buy it anyways after reading this . Has anyone broken a bass worse than this?

Bought Martins SVT-CL with the SVT410HLF cab yesterday. Top bloke, totoally honest and wont mess you about. Used it at practise last night  :brow: It blew me away. Think I've found "The One", I will never need another amp. Cheers Martin.

Yeah I see what you're saying. I wasn’t really having a dig, just trying to make the point that a 1mb pic isn’t that large and is increasingly becoming the norm. I agree with steve-norris in that people buying expensive items would want larger pics to see the finer details. I share an 8mb connection with 5 guys who download copious amounts of HD porn and I never really have a problem with opening large files off here, never takes more than 10 seconds...but then I'm of the orientation that would sacrifice a little time for higher fidelity in anything.

get a faster broadband connection? stop using 56k? we're living in an era where digital fidelity is ever increasing so pics are only gonna get larger
MB1. Could be that Smiths poster unerving prospective purchasers! Have a bump!
haha, that's a good spot although I wont have anything bad said about The Smiths or Morrissey It’s totally the marmite syndrome with them, you either love it or hate it, no middle ground. ps - bass is also advertised elsewhere as of last night so if you're interested then don't hang about, gimme a shout (that rhymes, i'm too cool )
