Played a gig with this band last week. During their set the lead singer climbed up on our guitarists Marshal stack (which was left behind their backline after our set), went to jump off but fell over kicking the head off at the same time - it hit the stage floor hard - he fell to the floor in a pathetic heap and they carried on with their set. At the end of their set they were chucking pints of water around on stage with exposed live sockets everywhere. They walked off stage so we went on to check the amp - luckily it was ok. They hid backstage for about 15 minutes then came out to get their guitars and walked off without saying a word. When confronted, the lead singer was kind of apologetic but seemed preoccupied tripping his nuts off on something. Their guitarist had more of a 'f*** you' attitude and said that the amp shouldn't have been on stage anyway... They're generally just a bunch of cnuts with little regard for other peoples gear. The promoters of the night have lodged a formal complaint with their national booking agent and have spread the word around here. Avoid.

Yeah that's a great buy, especially with a hardcase + strings and strap.

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy the snow at the end of the week...

I've forgot the PA speaker that I'm in charge of a few times only for practise though, never forgot it for a gig... yet. It's not bass gear, I don't care about it!!

When I was at uni I tried to teach a friend how to play guitar - I was going through the basics and had referred to the 'frets' a few times before he corrected me and said "[b]threats[/b]; it sounds stupid when you turn 'th' into 'f'...". He was a lost cause...

[quote name='waynepunkdude' timestamp='1318794150' post='1406306'] I've seen one go for £400 before so you never know. [/quote] Yeah man, you never know - if you don't ask you don't get...

£425 would be a good catch - they've certainly gone for more than that on here.

Ha that looks crazy. Never seen it before. Really liked the sound of the GK Henry The 8x8 though. What's the idea behind this?

[quote name='Musky' timestamp='1318084268' post='1397942'] It's a pain, isn't it. I had to put the img tags in manually link to a picture. Not exactly the biggest problem in the world but something that's needless when it should work seemlessly. [/quote] I was having problems with my post above because I asked "do you mean using the

Just an observation - do the marketplace forums no longer count towards your total post count? I know this has been the case for 'Off Topic' forever, but is it now the case for the marketplace since the forum update? Sorry if I've missed this information if it has been posted elsewhere - there's a lot of information about the 'new look' site posted all over the place and it's very hard to keep up, I've almost given up.

Really? do you mean using the image tags? Works fine for me...

Glad to hear you got this sorted out. IME DPD are absolutely sh*t. I quote from an internal email that was sent around last week: [quote] [font="Calibri"]Hello all,[/font] [font="Calibri"]DPD have been to deliver a package but have run out of time to bring it down to the office![/font] [font="Calibri"]The delivery driver was here anyway to collect something else but has been instructed by his head office that he is not to go round to the individual businesses! When main reception offered to call us to get someone to go out for it he said he didn’t have time to go back out to his van to bring it in.[/font] [font="Calibri"]They would not disclose who the parcel is for.[/font] [font="Calibri"]If you’re expecting a delivery from this company, you won’t get it today![/font] [font="Calibri"]Ridiculous situation.[/font] [font="Calibri"]Please circulate round those with no email.[/font] [/quote] It's not the first time we've had issues with DPD.

The heads change but the cab remains the same... I'm on a winner with the L410 and the Orange Terror Bass. Had this setup for about 18 months now and it's the happiest I think I've ever been with my sound.

Looks like a very simple switch - must be a very easy DIY if you're handy with a soldering iron.

[quote name='Finbar' timestamp='1316816002' post='1383434'] Haven't had pedal GAS in such a long time :/ Something's wrong with me. [/quote] I'm about to go (almost) pedal free - this week, I shall be mostly using a Volume pedal, Tuner, Sansamp and compressor... [quote name='Monckyman' timestamp='1316788260' post='1382950'] Headphones! [/quote] Plus the 1. If you're looking for an amp upgrade anyway then make sure you buy something with a headphone output. Something like the Genz Benz Shuttle 3 sounds like it could work for you - they come up at really good prices on here and have a decent headphone output. As you say, technique probably has an element to play in this as well. Either way, it's probably not going to be the Stingray that you're having problems with tone-wise.
