Orange Terror "On / Standby" Light quick question
Dubs replied to Cat Burrito's topic in Amps and Cabs
I love this amp but I think there are definitely some issues with the QC or general build quality based on this and other threads. The first one I had went back because there was a loose wire that was getting stuck in the fan which actually caused the fan to start burning itself out. I've also had issues with the light but it's fine 90% of the time. I once plugged mine in and something went 'pop' and I could smell burning - I plugged it back in and it wouldn't work, I changed the fuse but it didn't make a difference, then I plugged it back in about an hour later and it was working 100% fine. Not sure what's going with it but that was quite a few months ago and it's still going strong. Sounds great though, wouldn't change it for anything. -
17-3-3 Must do better...

Oddly, I quite like the Zender bass but I hate Corvettes

2A is a lot and you should easily be able to daisy-chain 5 pedals with that much power. You shouldn't get any mains hum but if you do then devices such as a 'virtual battery' isolate the power for that particular problem pedal and eliminate the hum.

17-1-2 Who is the 1?!?!?!?!?!?! Shame on thee...

I'll only sell my SSI if I get into some real financial trouble, and that would be after selling a lot of other stuff. It's not my main bass anymore but I still love it. I've been through a few Warwicks, not nearly as many as some though... I hate the Warwick marketing - personally I feel it 'cheapens' the brand.
yeah ive just checked out tc electronics, yowza! but i only want a little combo just for ipod and headphone usage!
Honestly, if that's all you want it for you will be impressed with the Roland 'Micro' series of bass amps, and it's totally pointless spending more if that's all you're going to be using it for. Check them out.

I was lucky (very) and got a £1000 cab for £400 new, I wouldn't change it for anything. I've been through more than my fair share of gear but this cab is a keeper. I've changed amps 3 times since having the cab, and I may change 3 times more, but the cab will stay. As it happens, I'm very happy with my setup and can't see that I'll change any of it for a long time. This is the first time in ages that I've had very low GAS for anything.

More interest than I expected! Vote for :brow:!! Poll added...

Massively depends on your budget. If you've got a lot to spend then you could look at the smaller Mark Bass combos, for a lot less the small Roland amps are really good. Headphones... ? I use a pair of Sennheiser HD280 Pro cans for everything and they're great.

Badass Bass II Bridge For Sale -SOLD
The mods and admins debated this at length recently and decided to credit the BC population with sufficient intelligence to work it out that it meant all parts of the description including price -
Ah well, I guess that's where we differ; the omission of that single word in an otherwise detailed set of guidelines seems a bit inane when put in context with the issues that have sparked because of it. PS - Sorry for derailing the thread further... -
I think this covers it adequately...... 4. If you have a concern with the authenticity/originality/provenance/description etc of an item for sale, do not comment on the seller's thread as these comments will be removed by a moderator. If you believe an item to be fraudulent then please PM a moderator and we will do our best to arbitrate - otherwise simply move along.
Really? That seems quite ambiguous to me. 'Description' would suggest features, condition, unique qualities etc... not a lot about the price. -
Please keep comments about the values of items for sale private and sent by PM as per the guidlenes at the top of this page - Otherwise I will be deleting posts and issuing warnings. You have gone far enough above - leave the OP alone to sell his bridge now.
I was actually looking for something to quote from the market place guidelines with regards to this earlier but I was surprised (due to previous threads) to see that there is actually nothing there that related to questioning the asking price... -
You could replace those drivers for much 'better' modern ones relatively cheaply yourself, or you could ask MatAmp to do it for a premium and have the hassle of getting it to them, waiting for them to do it, and picking it up... £150 for the cab, £100 for 2 15" Fane Sovereign drivers (example) = 800W beasty. Good job it's on casters, looks like it weighs a tonne! Also looks proper cool
