I made this a few months ago (the cab, not the head ): Full thread here - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...t=0&start=0 Perfect for what I use it for and only weighs about 10kg. Thinking of doing another if/when a couple of cheap 12" drivers come up for sale.

Sounds like you need to go and play one or a few. Where abouts are you?
-
Yeah those are probably the nicest gigbags I've ever seen, just so expensive when you look at what you can get for half as much.

I've gone from various combinations of all this: ...back to just this: It sounds great as a preamp and does absolutely everything I need in a very un-f***-up-able package.

What a pain in the arse, shocking when you consider that their competition is so good.
if its an 03 its German...right?
Correct. I do believe that they only made the Bubinga Corvette Std in Germany, then they went and confused everyone with that RockBass crap...
This looks like a bargin! Is he interested in trades at all or just straight sale? I need to clear my pedal board out and have some guitar bits and bobs around as well.
He's mostly interested in the cash as he needs to buy a new car, but tell me what you've got for trade and you never know I might be able to tempt him...
No pain, no gain! Think of it this way, you don't need a gym membership, the average membership is £20 a month, times that by 12 months - £240, there's some tubes, maintainance sorted ... I have to justify it some how!
No gym membership required if you've got a roadie, but 10 years of lugging this around week in, week out, and you'll end up a 35 year old cripple

This one's local to me. Tempted to go and have a look and a word with the guy, not totally sure what it will achieve or if I can be arsed though...
I have no doubt this thing sounds awesome. But - 85lb Eighty Five Pounds!!!! Is anyone without roadies really going to buy it? That is utter madness. My Mark Bass F1 head and a Tech21 pedal gets damn close to proper SVT with 75lb to spare!
Had one, sounded immense, sold it and went lightweight and haven't regretted it since. Mine was fully flight-cased as well, so 85lbs + about 15lbs. Crazy. I'd have another in the blink of an eye if someone carried it around for me though...

I think you're response is very fair - i.e. the fact that you don't lend anything because of insurance issues and massive repair bills. They can't really argue with that, and if they do, then it's tough sh*t as far as I can see.
Sold a mobile phone to somebody in Moldovia last winter, he had bid without telling me where he was, even though it stated on my advert that he should if he was outside the UK mainland, but I charged him a couple of quid extra for the postage, and I sent it cheapest way I could via Royal mail as agreed with him by ebay mail. After a week he asked for the tracking Number, tbh I couldnt be bothered, so told him I didnt heve one. 2 weeks later he gets ebay to freeze my account, claiming he didnt recieve it. I sent ebay the reciept for the postage, and royaol mail confirmd that it had been delivered, so I sent them a copy of that as well. ebay accepted it, and restored the money to my paypal account. Dont worry, if you have the proof that he got it, they should back you up, it just takes a week or two.
Did eBay or PayPal do anything to their account, taking into consideration they clearly tried to bullshit you out of the cost of the phone? Bullsh*tt*rs/scammers should be charged double - f***em'.
