1.
Hmm.....ex guitarguitar sale? Unfortunately even though I love Tecamp, their brand has been devalued by that sale. These were £350 new!
Even though GG were offering the TecAmp stuff at silly prices, the quality of the product hasn't changed. The perceived value of something is a funny thing...
2. Up for sale is my monstrous (750W @ 4ohms) pre-Fender SWR Bass 750. The amp is definitely in a 'used' condition with a fair few light scratches on the front. It has also had a couple of bolts replaced on the front pannel at some point to non-original bolts, but if anything they're actually more secure than the originals. Mechanically it's sound and works fantastically. It currently has a Groove Tube 12AX7 in the pre amp that delivers a nice hint of that classic valve tone when it's on the verge of clipping. More info on the SWR here - SWR Bass 750 Looking for £350 collected or £420 delivered in the Boschma 4u rack case in the pic.
3.
Personally, the Shuttle 6.0 lacks it for me, and so did the 9.0. Thats just me though. Some players love the totally crisp Genz sound. It seemed less full than I was used to in the low end. I prefer the more warm full tone of the Mark Bass amps....how was the 'distortion' on the LM Rocker?
I'd agree about the Genz not having much low end on the flat EQ setting, but a few notches of the LF EQ sorts that right out. It's the old MB vs GB debate... each to their own.
4. PM'd on the off chance that it's not sold...
5. I just got the Quiklok 7 stand from a guy on a local forum for £25. Bargain! It's great and absolutely solid.
6.
would be awesome if they made a more rugged "pro" version or something.
Or get it right the first time?
7. Thinking about getting the one that holds 7 guitars - GS-471. Does anyone have any experience of them?
8.
You're making me want to keep it now Dubz...it really is a cracking bass to play.
The only Warwick I use is my SSI. That's the only reason I sold this, and that fact that I wanted Phuze's Sterling. I quickly sold the Sterling and regretted letting this go. £500 is a lot for me to find right now, but it would be £500 well spent for anyone considering a Warwick. This needs to go to a good home.
9.
Have you been and played it since yesterday? Sorely tempted by this - but I think my lovely wife would cut my knackers off with something blunt if I appeared home with another bass...
I originally sold it to Phuze about a year ago. Feels and sounds like a £1k+ bass. I've played a lot of bolt on Warwicks (Streamers, Thumbs, a few Corvettes, etc...) and this is the nicest that I have personally played. I'd love it back but I just dropped a wedge on a Jazz... I don't know why I'm recommending this to anyone cos I want it!
10. This is the nicest of any bolt-on Warwick that I've played.
11.
ive decided i NEED the gremlin/bomb driver double act.. any sound clips m8 ??
Nope. Might be able to do some over the weekend though... The bomb driver looks really good.
12. I've got a Bass Gremlin. Sounds great!!
13. Streamer. Covettes look silly
14. On the 'bay tomorrow... Give me an offer if you're interested!
15. I may have to name them in the same vein that Sebastion Vettel names his F1 chassis: 2009 = Kate's Dirty Sister. 2010 = Luscious Liz. I might have to get slightly more Pompey on it though. Something like "Chantelle's Easy Mate", or "Peroxide Pammy" for my maple SSI
16. Was it £25 BIN? Someone has placed a bid...
17.
Flawless is imperfect.
Oxymoron of the day I get what you're saying though. I don't like a Hi-Fi bass sound but I like nice basses and amps. I'll post a link to a song that we recorded on Saturday when it's mixed - my sound is very edgy and kind of high gain aggressive, but the combined cost of the bass and amp that I used to record it is edging on for the wrong side of £3k. It's not really about the money at all, it's about the results that you get when using them. I could probably get a similar result from gear that cost 1/4 of the price, but I knows what I likes
18. I blew up a 100W 1x15 version of this amp without having the volume anywhere near max. Volume was on about 7/10 and I was using an active Warwick. Kind of left me with the impressed that these are a bit under-engineered or that the drivers that are used in them are cheap. Sounded alright untill the voicecoil glue melted though, not great, just alright...
19. I will have to eBay this on Thursday if there is no interest on here. I'll give it another bump on Wednesday but that'll be it...
20.
I would imagine a reserve of £300,...
I'd give £300 cash now without even seeing a picture
21. Kind of wish I had held onto mine for a bit longer.
22. Any price on the Spider pedalboard case?
