I wouldn't mind a look. Is it still around?
I think this has long gone wondering...
Hmm... OK then, how about one of these? http://bit.ly/neonpink
nice! At least you know when your guitarist has nicked your lead!!
I'm quite interested in trying a a coiled lead though. I've never done so I don't know anything about them. Do they have an effect on tone due to being coiled? I've just read that guitar players say the coil bleeds some treble something to do with inductance and that the shielding is necesarilly poorer to allow the lead to coil. I would like to try one to find out. Any one got any insights?
My understanding of these is that the treble/tone sucking issues are with the original 60's ones - just poor manufacturing technology etc... I think the modern equivelents are free of the tone issues and are essentially more about the look than anything else.
He also now is convinced his signal is stronger and clearer using Klotz and Neutrik with a bit of 'Bobster mojo' .........
I will admit to having a super thick Klotz speakon cable for my rig... I'll also admit to being tempted to buy that Fender cable on Friday afternoon when I popped into a music store on the way home from work to pick up a new instrument cable and to have a bit of a browse
That reminds me of those coiled leads Hendrix always seemed to have that look like they were separated at birth with the lead from a telephone!...I always thought they looked pretty cool, but I've never got round to buying one, or even finding one that I could buy!
VOX make a few nice modern versions of the old coiled leads, in a couple of different colours as well.

Bargain indeed! -
Cheers for the advice guys. I'll probably stay well clear then, even if they are sub £20

I had a Jim Deacon P-Bass copy and a Carlsbro Cobra 100W as my first ever setup about 8/9 years ago. I now play a Streamer Stage I - I've been through more rigs than I care to remember over the last 3 years, but I'm currently rockin' a TecAmp L410 and an SWR Bass 750. Sounds sweet as a nut...

Very cheap volume pedal. Is it any good? And is 100k enough for active bass?
I don't know if the Bass specific thing matters (it usually means that they colour the tone slightly),but I don't think £30 is expensive. If you spend a lot on your equipment,it's worth buying some decent cables.
Don't get me wrong, I've spent £30 on cables in the past but I've never actually found it worth the money. All cables wear out eventually, and within reason you'll never be able to tell the difference (sound wise) between something that cost £10 and something that cost £50.
I must confess to owning a couple of Monster Bass cables. I don't buy the claim that they use construction techniques to make them specifically better/suited for bass, but I do buy the fact that they come with a lifetime guarantee.
£5 a pop... bet they sound the same and will last at least half the lifetime of a Monster cable, so buy 2 for a tenner and you'll be sorted
This used to be called market segmentation when I was actively involved in that kind of thing. Of course it's bollocks but plenty will fall for it. After all, it "uses 3-Way Differential Cable Architecture". They're just copying Monster, who also use meaningless pseudo-scientific puffery to justify their inflated prices.
I seriously think trading standards should get involved with stuff like this. It's difficult when they make weak subjective statements like "it will make your bass sound better"... etc.
Eliminates noise, wrong notes and makes you more attractive to the opposite sex
I thought so, well worth the £30 then

It's an instrument cable, Jim, but not as we know it... http://www.nevadamusic.co.uk/Bass-Guitars/...1637/p7742.aspx Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but how the hell can a cable be bass specific? ...and is it really worth £30?!
