1. This is quite worrying. I was close to pulling the trigger on one of these on new years day but a little voice in the back of my head reminded me that January's workload is far from definite... Think I'll wait a couple more months and see what develops with these issues.
2.
That would be awesome! Thats taken a massive load off my mind now how hard are the OP's to fit?
It's an OPB-2. This was fitted at the same time as some EMG pickups, but it wasn't done by me so I can't really advise as to the difficulty of the job
3.
My rig; Grtz www.texastrouble.nl
Loving the Thumb. Must be an '86 ish?
4.
Having double checked on the Livewire Catalogue I can confirm the Livewire Broad1000LU2 2m speakon-speakon cables have 4 pole speaker mount connections and 2 x 1.5mm professional speaker cable.
I'll take one PM'd...
5.
that doesn't sound good...best wishes for the rest of the year buddy!
Thanks mate I don't want to go too OT or into much detail but in short it was a painful breakup of a 3 1/2 year relationship. That's enough said about that.
6. This has definitely lightened up one of the shittest days I've had in about 4 years.
7.
Hmmm, just having a read about the OPB2 it does sound a bit tempting with it saying its designed to fit into smaller control cavities... I'd still probably need a battery box routing though. They all sound so tempting!!
You definitely won't need any routing doing mate. The Warwick control cavities are big enough for the pre + 2 9v batteries. I'll take a pic of mine and post it here sometime over the next couple of days for you to have a look at.
8. I wouldn't be too hard on yourself mate - everyone has good and bad days, and the temperature issue can cause real problems if you don't spend time warming up. There's so many things that can affect how well you can play. I always find that my state of mind is a big one for me. Learning an instrument is a gradual process that takes a long time, so just stick with it and you will undoubtably improve with time. Try and play everyday and set yourself small achievable goals such as learning a new song a week. This will keep things fresh and with time should definitely help you find your way around the fretboard. I guess patience is the key.

2009's gigs

4, but I only joined the band in October . Already have 3 lined up for Jan/Feb next year. My aim is for at least double figures in 2010 and maybe pushing into the high teens. I've never done more than about 15/20 gigs in a single year...
11.
I am open to offers....
Check out the Rules and Guidlines on Marketplace Usage...
12. I've got an OP2 (might be an OP1 , I can't remember ) in my SSI. It's running at 18V and sounds great with EMG pups.
13. Is this not something that happens when you practise? Experiment with cab placement, or you could use a noise gate.
14. Is this still for sale? Got any pics? Could be interested...
15. More likely to be an issue with the driver than the connection. Sounds like there's probably some driver damage; misaligned or partly burnt out voice coil maybe - difficult to say without hearing it, but either way you probably need to get it repaired or replaced. As for cost, I dunno...
16. This massively does not help with my GAS  I might have to bite the bullet on this and buy one new; I can't see that any will come up 2nd hand any time soon...
17.
IMO, you got an excellent deal there bonny lad!
+1 I can't remember ever seeing a graphite necked Status selling for under £450, and it would probably still be a good price at £450! Status as a brand are generally highly regarded as a top manufacturer and make instruments aimed towards the top end of the market. To give you an idea, the cheapest price they quote on their price list is £1395... so £330 is a steal for a graphite 5 string You'll have to get some pics up when it arrives!
18.
What kind of sale price did you have in mind? Or - I have a LM2 that I'm looking to trade for something Ampeg related!
Ideally I'm looking for a straight trade because I can't be without a head for any longer than a couple of days. Cash wise, probably about £500, but this is probably more useful as an idea for a trade value... Cheers for the offer of the LM2 but I'm looking for something with a bit more power.
19.
That has got to be the deal of the decade.
ssshhhhh... I've spent the last 3 days thinking about this bass...
20. Glad to hear they've got better. I once ordered some microphones that took 2 months to turn up...
21. I'm considering trading my rack for a lighter D-Class solution. The kind of thing I'm looking for would be a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 or similar. It is a heavy duty 4U Boschma rack with an Ampeg SVP-Pro, QSC RMX1450 bridged to give an output of 1.4kw into 4ohms, and a 4 way rack mounted power strip at the rear. I can do more pictures if anyone is interested: The L410 is not for sale
22. Mine came yesterday and fits exactly to my measurements. Great quality as well.
