Don't wax fretboards.
deffo
-
Yeah normal beeswax is fine - I've heard of some people using the standard furniture beeswax and they've said it's fine. I guess the most natural variant would be the best - i.e. no colouration etc, but I don’t really know if you can get different types. Personally I use the Warwick stuff.

Just found this on the EB forum from 2002 - http://www.ernieball.com/forums/music-man-...ter-market.html
No after-market piezo available at this time.
Things may have changed in 7 years though. I'm not a member on the EB forum but it might be worth having a browse.
Probably right but it's certainly less hassle to just do a straight swap with someone
That’s definitely arguable and probably true in 80% of trade deals, but it’s by no means definitive. Depends how much he'd like £100 cash in his pocket as well as a nice fretless :brow:
This is a feeler at the moment, I am thinking about swapping this bass for a fretless stingray only,
Realistically, you could probably pick up a fretless Stingray for less than this fretted Stingray with its Piezo bridge is worth, so it might be worth selling outright… Nice bass BTW Good luck with the sale/trade.
Seriously, it works. You can't even feel it. (The forearm thing)
yeah sorry, I’m sure it does, it just sounds like one of those jokes that sounds like it could be feasible but is a complete piss take. From one of my favourite films of all time…
Ah ok. I've been doing a bunch of PMing lately and have been barred from doing it for like 5 minutes at a time - it's really annoying when you've got a few to do at once but I do see why now.
Yeah that was happening to me the other day – it was pissing me off so much that I started a thread about it (what a sad prick I am ) - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...mp;#entry496222
Superglue your finger tip to your fore arm and rip it off. It takes a thin layer of skin from your forearm onto your finger tip and makes the superglue more durable. Disclaimer: It works for me and leaves no marks on my arm... I have no idea whether you'll end up tearing chunks out of your arm.
Superglue your finger to the middle of your forehead…
OK,with two important gigs next weekend, rebuilding my mountain bike & subsequently trapping my r/h index finger beween the brake caliper & rotating front brake disc was probably not a good idea. That aside I am now left with a flap of skin & a deep cut in the worst possible place,my daughter seems to think that there is such a product as liquid skin. Any one out there with any knowledge or ideas on how to repair & harden up the end of my damaged plucking finger,I seem to remember reading that stevie ray vaughen used super glue to harden the tips of his fingers, what I don't want is a hideous sceptic mess so only sensible tried & tested ideas please, mike b.
Show us some gruesome pics… :brow:
Hi there. Tried to contact you via the pm but it wont allow me to reply to you for some reason. It might be something at your end as I contacted someone else who had pm`d me.
This is happening quite a lot with the PM system at the moment – it has been set up so that you can only send 1 PM every minute due to the potential of spamming.

A modern 400W valve amp that’s been recently revalved and serviced for £500 = good deal in my book.

The single ply black pickguard works so well with the black body, black binding, and black blocks. Proper cool
Hey people bump, and for those reading: should I go lower with the price, since there has been no real interest in this so far... or would I be better of selling the electronics and 'get rid of' the body?
Personally I think the damage is too substantial to not knock more off.
I think it's a way of stopping spambots, mine is doing it too.
That would make sense. I can see how it can be useful in those circumstances, but it’s so annoying if you’re trying to send a few PMs in a short space of time.
Another convert - good man! Very similar to mine...
Lovely stuff I’ve not played a rosewood necked one yet, but I’ve got a thing about maple fretboards at the moment.
Would look good with the crest on it somewhere.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing – a small see-through crest with a silver outline or something. It’s just a shame that a lot of the merch is tackier than a trolley dash with Kerry Katona in Iceland on a Monday morning after the doll money has been paid out…

GAS got the better of me with this – I can’t believe the sound of this thing. It’s immense! Tonally it’s far more versatile and enjoyable than either the Stingray or Sterling that I’ve previously owned. I’m still getting used to the neck though; it’s a bit wider than my sausage fingers are used to
what kind of trades u looking for?
Mainly a SansAmp VT Bass or a Boss SYB-5 synth pedal - I'd consider any synths though. I'd also consider a pulse modulator of some description. I don't need any more fuzz or distortion pedals unless you had a Woolly Mammoth at a good price. I don't need any Phasers or Flangers either.

Ok this keeps happening – has my account been limited so I can only send 1 PM every 10 minutes or something?
