1. I've just subscribed for...free When should I expect my mags?
2. Do you have to pay postage or is it completely free? Have I missed something? It looks great though so I can't work out why they sell it for free. Maybe they make a sh*t load from ads?
3. What power connector does the dod fx25 have?
4. Not counting my pedalboard/effects/tuner, I have – 3 patch leads 3 20ft Instrument leads 2 9V batteries Earplugs Spare strap/strap locks Spare strings Multitool thing – screwdriver and allen keys etc… Much more than this I find is excessive and a pain in the arse to lug around
5. The Schroeder 1212 cabs are popular. I think EBS also do a 2x12. Have you thought about getting two 1x12 cabs to give a bit of versatility to your rig for different situations? – Such as two Aguilar GS112’s. That was something I was thinking about recently and it’s a solution that a few on here have decided upon.
6. Just seen he's in Dundee. I can't see that there's any reason at all to suspect this isn't legit until more questions can be asked about payment methods and collection/delivery options. What gives you the impression that there might be something suspicious going on?
7. I think you’re probably barking up the wrong tree if I’m thinking what you think this might be, but it’s a good price. Sign up and ask him where he is.
8. How does this sound with bass? It's a passive EQ so I guess that you can't boost the bass?

Bought a phaser from Pete. Great pedal and Pete was great to deal with. Cheers mate
10.
I'm currently in my third and final year on the Popular Music Studies (BA) at Leeds College of Music, trying not to think about the 'real world' that awaits when I'm done in the summer.
It’s all doom and gloom for music graduates my friend, it’s all doom and gloom… Welcome to the forum BTW
11. Damn, that is cheap, but it almost weighs as much as me! I'd never consider it unless I had a residency somewhere and didn’t have to shift the f***er around
12. A pair of Aguilar 12"s. I was considering 2 of those as an alternative to the UL310 I'm using at the moment...
13.
I guess he means Tom Bowlus :-) http://bowlusblog.blogspot.com/
sh*t man, that guy has a sh*t load of stuff!! He must have a large warehouse…

STOLEN!

The good news is that it’s a pretty rare/unusual colour…
15. I’d still tout the discontinued Warwick Std range as the best budget basses out there, and at around £200 for a used 4 string Streamer Std, they’re amazing value IMO. A German built Warwick with the ovangkol neck that gets used on the high end bolt-on Warwicks for £200 – how can you possibly go wrong with that? Mine feels better than a few Thumb BOs I’ve tried, and also better than some FNA Streamers I’ve played as well. Quite weighty though… I’ve also played a few MIM Jazz basses that I thought were fantastic. It’s hit and miss with anything mass produced though, and I think it’s more likely to be ‘miss’ more often than ‘hit’ with cheaply mass produced instruments, but there are gems out there.
16. do you know anyone with a fretless acoustic? - cos that's your answer...
17. Cheers guys. Yeah I've looked at a few gig bag type things but they're either a bit too small or massive. I’ll keep looking cos I think that’s probably the best/easiest solution – it would take a lot of hassle to build a lid for it that’s practical.
18.
My cat has now discovered how to climb up my ashdown stack using his claws Annoying, buy funny!
If that were my cat he'd get a kick in the nuts EDIT – NO ANIMALS WERE HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS POST
19. This explains it pretty well - http://www.audiomasterclass.com/arc.cfm?a=...f-eq-whats-that
20.
No, but thanks. What happens to the shelved freqs? Boost or cut? Or do they go to the pub and get Mullered?
It can be either a boost or a cut - I'll find some pictures on google to explain better than I can (it's not a complicated concept but I'm just sh*t at explaining stuff)...
21. It’s a form of EQ – shelving all frequencies above or below a specified frequency by a specified amount. Hope that helps
22.
Do they do a compressor that's linked to a flame thrower, so the harder you play, the more it compresses, this higher the flame goes?
now that sounds more like it!
23. I'd be interested in seeing pics and hearing a bit more about it - don't think I've come across one of these before.
24.
Nice one! I'll think i'll use this thread as a resource when i build one.....you obviously watched alot of Blue Peter as a kid! Karl
this is one I made earlier… (not really)
25. Yes! My hourly rate is £750 (negotiable within 10%) and it’s going to take me 6 weeks working 10 hours a day and 5 days a week (I don’t do weekends)
