1.
Awesome, i take it you're doing it yourself then?
Pretty much - I'm not doing the routing by myself and I've bought a neck (just waiting for it to be delivered). I'll be finishing the body and assembling it all myself. Probably won't be finished till Jan/Feb, if not a bit later, but that's just due to a lack of cash-flow and waiting for parts as well as waiting for a date I can have the routing done for free. I’ll keep this thread updated with pics when something new happens though
 2. Well, when I say “Celinder Clone”, I only mean that the body shape has been cloned from a Celinder – Slightly smaller than a traditional Jazz body. This is just a teaser (cos I don’t have all my parts yet) – It has a mahogany core with mildly quilted redwood top and rear, with a sycamore veneer under the redwood top. I’ve damped it down to show off the grain :brow: More to follow shortly (I hope)
 3.
My personal take on it is to keep things bass/band related. So PA, mixers, bass books etc all fine. I draw the line at MP3 players and laptops used for recording. Of course my own stance isn't neccessarily the policy.. let's leave it for others to answer .
MP3 players and Laptops that are used for recording, by definition, count as “other musically related items” don’t they? I remember seeing a MacBook or 2 on here in the past anyway.
 4.
One more wouldn't hurt! Yeah the Thumb has forced me to change technique in the right hand as with the small body I've been draping my hand over the top which has led to pains. However I can't see a way around the left hand problem with this instrument. Do the streamer stage 1s have less chunky necks then? If there are models in Warwick's range like this then I would be happy to consider!
My 2000 SSI has a very slim neck - similar to a slim Jazz neck IMO and my 04 Streamer Std as well, but my ’98 SSII is quite chunky but still as narrow as the others - it can be hit and miss with this type of thing; the same models from different periods can be completely different, and even the same models from the same period can feel considerably different, don’t know why though. I'd avoid the generalisation that Warwick necks = chunky cos in practise it's not really true, so I'd deffo recommend a "try before you buy" policy if you're after something with a specifically slim neck profile.
 5. Very nice collection! I'm only slightly envious, and by "slightly", I actually mean "greatly"
 6. Try it in here - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showforum=21 Good cases these BTW
 7. one of me and the Mrs (I don't like having my picture taken...)
 8.
Maybe this one's more useful then.
that's better for some reason it looks "right" when the image is flipped, just not used to looking at lefties I guess
 9.
Without a doubt; My Warwick Vampyre LTD!
hmm... too true perhaps?
 10.
[*]Gusto - Not insured, brand new and hadn't got 'round to it, I'm slightly embarrased to admit but taken from the drive outside my house, unloaded the van at three in the morning after a long day and a long drive and left it out, so partially my fault.
Ah man, unlucky, and in all honesty you’ve probably saved yourself the insurance premiums as I doubt they would have paid out if you’d told them that story. I really hope this turns up cos it’s a beautiful instrument and the person who took it probably doesn’t even realise what they have. Definitely keeping my eyes out for you though… PS – do you have any pics of the bass with you playing it? Like live ones? Just that if you don’t and it does turn up on ebay (or likewise) then you may find it hard to claim it’s yours if all you have is the serial number.
 11.
Notice the words I'd like & negotiable plus the fact that this is a feeler, I'll admit I wouldn't quite be willing to part with it for what some Warwicks seem to fetch at present but it's simple logic to start higher & then come down isn't it. Thanks for the constructive comment though Ben!
I didnt mention figures; I neither implied that your price was high nor low, just that I remember you contributing to a thread where the price of these basses was being discussed and therefore I know you have a good understanding of what is achievable at the moment. Sorry if I touched a nerve though.
 12. that looks amazing, can't wait to see more progress pics

 17.
just rang dolphin music they told me its not vista compatible
damn, I don't get why things aren't Vista compatible considering it's been around for at least 3 years...
 18. I think your best bet might be to email the manufacturer if you can't find out via online specs...

 21. Behold – My mighty Johnson “Standard 15B” 15W practise amp :brow: This is what I’ve started using at home instead of my full rig (Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 and Epifani UL310). Sounds like a fart in a can
