1.
Nice! Where did you get it, anymore available?
Chicago Music Exchange are the only ones with stock currently, unless the pre order is sold out. There was an initial run of 50 white ones and the standard black ones are shipping in August I think. Give CME a try. They were good at emailing back, shipped UPS for £35 dollars. They do promo codes sometimes and I got 15%off the rose.
2. So this is a reissue of the Silver Rose, but better. It's a separate Super Fuzz and an Eau Clare Thunder running in parallel but also with a cracking clean blend which also has its own separate volume. Essentially three parallel routes with added tones/eqs/bias settings. I just tried it through a Berg NV cab for half an hour and I'm pretty deaf now. It's a filthy, ear destroying bastard. (If you want it to be) Great tones for bass. Massive bottom end with the clean added. Scooped, flat or boosted mids, loads of volume on tap. Pretty much covers all your needs for Doom/Queens/Stones/iggy/pumpkins etc. I guess I'm saying you can get old and new fuzz sounds from it. And it's pretty.
3. The Cali has a lovely tone and feel but I just found it compressed too much. The keeley seems to have more range through the controls.
4. cant decide if I want to keep this or move it on as its so nice but the money's always useful... blue 10/10 tolex sealed cab speakon salt n pepper grill eminence gamma 300 watt speakers ferrite light weight birch 1200 watts 8 ohms Height 24 inch Width 24 inch Depth 19 inch I have an orange soft cover which fits perfectly which I'll include. Looking for £400.00 and can arrange shipping on a pallet for £75.00
5. Can't remember if I've posted this already but here's my black bass beside some black amp thingys.

Mark bought my compressor in record time. Prompt payment and good communication. No problems. A good man.
8. Grahame is a good man. Prompt payment and arranged collection of my Berg Cab. Great communication. Highly recommended.
9. Selling my excellent Empress compressor. Great condition with box and paperwork. Excellent bass compressor with parallel compression, meters, side chain option and attack/release controls. Shipping with Royal Mail special delivery £8.00 No trades please, it's a fundraiser.
10. I guess we all need to try them for ourselves to make sure, too many variables. Great as the Empress is, I felt if I was blending half of it out it seemed a bit pointless. With the Keeley it's quite intuitive. You can turn the threshold really low and the compression up to really squash it, then set the attack and release to react to how you are producing your notes, easily done as there is a meter showing how quickly/slowly the compression comes in. Hearing the effect is good but sometimes seeing really helps. Once you set the feel you want you can then dial back the compression, set hard/soft knee etc. Simple. It's a great compressor but ultimately I think a great compressor for people who don't like compressors. Never thought I'd ever say compressor three times in a sentence.
11. So me and Billy Sheehan reckon this new keeley comp is a bit special, just sayin. It is tho. So far Ive been using the Empress compressor because of the parallel compression. I've had to use that as every comp I've tried still squashed the initial attack of the note. This will not be everyone's experience as we are all different but if you play humbuckers with a pick and dig in, that's been my experience. I've had a boss half rack, the EBS multicomp, the Diamond and a Cali 76 TX before the empress. I've found the keeley to be more gradual and noticeable in its controls. I've found lots of nice settings where as other comps I've struggled to find that one sweet spot. It's been dead quiet unless you really boost it. It's footprint is small (compared to the Cali) and the metering on the Keeley is very helpful too. It does great limiting and hard compression but I love how subtle and transparent it is too. The hard/soft knee works well, the auto attack/release is good but you can find the best spot manually too. The tone of it sounds great to me, as if it's compressing but still with a sweet airy top end to it. There may be a little treble boost to it. I will say I've tried the standard Keeley comps before and hated them but as I say everyone's needs are different. I was amazed that I couldn't get on with the Cali76 as its massively expensive and sounds nice but by the time I had it set up where I needed it was too hissy. Other settings just blunted the attack of the note. The empress has been great but definitely for me, the Keeley Compressor Pro has been the winner so anyone thinking about one should give it a try.
12. Try peterbuilt basses. He's made some.
13. My walrus audio descent is for sale. It has presets and octaves to fatten it up. It's a beast. Just sayin...
14. Price drop to £170.00
15. Running the two in parallel should be pretty good. You can set each one up running clean/dirty or bottom end/top end. It works really well for dirty sounds but it's ultimately very flexible, the same sort of effect you get with a Pearce BC1 but with more varied dirt tones. I run two VTRM preamps as my main amp either split to two cabs or parallel into one cab. Give it a try.
16. The COG is great. Had a rat tail and was massively disappointed. All fizz. Go for the TK421X.
17. For me the rat tail was all fizz. I had an original keeley modded rat that was good but I'd go with the COG. I have one and its still on my board.
18. I'd highly recommend it. It's been my favourite bass chorus for a long time and I've used loads over the years. Very open and deep and doesn't seem to pump the bass in and out like most do. Tap tempo is really useful too. It has an input and output level so works well with dirt. Some settings are a bit hissy but that's bucket brigade for you. The chase bliss warped vinyl should be much the same in a smaller box. The minifooger version should be worth a try too.
19. I've been thinking it over redslap but can't use them unfortunately. Thanks for the offer.
20. Not looking for trades but you never know. What ya got?
